I just went to gamefaqs to look for some good old school games, then I read the poll. The question is "Do you play World of Warcraft?" then the answers are:

Yes, I've got at least one Level 70
Yes, but I haven't made it that far yet
Yes, but I never bought the expansion
I used to, but I had to quit
No, I've never played it

I picked the "I used to, but I had to quit". I got the results, and this came out:

I just got shocked...65% of people that goes to gamefaqs doesn't play world of warcraft? I thought the game is so famous that there's like 7 million subscribers right? I know that that's not all the people here in the world, but it's weird lol.

7 million people, out of 6 billion. One game, out of hundreds of thousands of other games and passtimes. Some people just don't even like it. (Can't you just see all of the future WoW flames for this topic?) Nah, its not really suprising if you think of it. And Gamefaqs is just one website, hell, not a lot of people even bothered to that poll probably.

majority of WoW players are in asia FYI. GFaqs is mostly american/canadian

Especially all the LUEsers who love to incite board wars for the sake of giggles. As a former Moderator for several years I've seen my fair share of boards destroy daily polls just for the sake of a posting right to gloat at the loss. Diablo 2, FF VII, Halo, and LUE were notorious for this type of behavior.

As for how accurate the poll is. <shrug - who knows. Lots of the average gamers are there to frequent games that are either the current FOTM console game or titles they obsess over usually older than 5 years. Not to mention the secret boarders.

Just shows you that people of GameFAQS are smart.
