I'm sure some of you have seen clips of these two things(and those that havn't, here is your chance):
http://youtube.com/watch?v=89sz8ExZndc
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zEax1mJhJQ0

Now, you may first say "But fabian, we already have touch screen. Whats so special about these?"
The answer is simple. While we do have touch-screen already, those touch-screen only allow one input at a time. So no matter how many figures you put on the screen, only one of them will work.
These new touch screens allow for an unlimited number of inputs on the screen, meaning you can use your whole hand to manipulate things on the screen.

Apple bought some of this technology and you will be seeing this in their iPhone, when it is released.

And just a few hours ago, this was released from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/surface/

This is quickly becoming a common piece of tech, instead of just an expensive toy that those at MIT get to play with.

Tech has been around for awhile, but will be very nice when it finally hits the consumer market. I am very ready to live in the Gibson Age myself.

yea, I didn't say it was new. What is new is that it's quickly making a move to the consumer market, our market.

That MS thing is brand new too. It was just announced last night.

You can buy one for a dirt cheap price of $10,000. You can get blue screen errors, in order to avoid them you need to buy the Microsoft Table: Vista for a reasonable fee of $50,000.

That would so rock. Would put a whole new spin on military rts games.

ooh, ooh, ooh, imagin a space style rts games with this stuff.

hmmm . . . imagin pr0n with this stuff.

edit: After looking at the Microsoft link, I just realized that this is the same tech they used for the very fancy sound mixing tables (can be found on youtube, but I no longer have link).

Course you weren't. I'm sure everyone here was thinking that. I'd be surprised if the pr0n industry doesn't picked up on this.

Technology is advancing. I predict in about 10-20 years our paper will have touch screen where you can search for words and do other stuff.
