ahh , a new notice from lunia's main website.

As May 30th passed, all Game Server for Closed Beta Service of Lunia has closed.

For 3 weeks of testing period, Lunia Staff could have very meaningful time that can't be valued in any other ways.

Lunia Staff and all others who had a hard works for preparing this closed beta service are graceful to all users and their supports and interests of playing and evaluating Lunia.

Players' direct reponses such as valuable bug reports and various suggestions make it possible managing this closed beta service with pure fun and joy. As Lunia Staff got through closed beta service period with thousands of users around the world, Lunia Staff faces various problems that must be solved before opening of open beta service.

The tasks left for Lunia Staff are as follows.

1. Must solve the lag problem for giving true action arcade feels within the game.
2. Must provide well translated text contents for giving clear objectives and missions through various stages.
3. Must make a bullet proof client programs that will not crash at any situation.
4. Must make a given tutorial contents for new comers so they will not spend time for studying the game rather than playing the game.
5. Must provide a easier solution to login to game. Using a ID from gameNgame.com account and PWD from global.lunia.com account caused various confusion even before playing the game.

These are very serious and hard to implement a better solution to them. However, Lunia Staff promises that we will not waste any time for fixing it and providing better Lunia to all before Open Beta Service.

Thanks again to all for participating Lunia Closed Beta Service. Hope to see you all soon.

- Lunia Staff -

the faster they fix , the better ^^
hope to see you all in game

Slimes supposedly have skills made up of transformation and shape shifting with their gelatonous form, that sounds like fun to me.

I'm waiting for OB, but very patiently. I think Lunia will become my main game and I'll dump maple story out the window. Too much effort for not enough reward. Lunia's much more jawsome. :3

Still waiting for CABAL (yes i still believe it has a chance of going OB) and i'll be playing 2moons when it comes out july 30.

Well, just hope it comes back without the lag and hopefully the internet provider finishes setting up my internet connection before it starts =3 (Reason why I disappeared for a few weeks)

If it still lags as badly as it did, I'm not going to bother playing again. Hopefully it doesn't, though. Because the game really was fun.

@ Lefos/sircusa : Same here.

They planned to spend more than 1 and a half month to prepare for OB, pretty sure they can find some ways to minimise lag. So all the best to the Lunia Staffs..

Actually, even with the lag the game was still really fun. It was the first game where i had so much fun that i forgot it was lagging. Imagine what would happen when the lag is gone O_oO_oO_oO_oO_oO_oO_o

I had basically the same experience as Duo.. Even though the game lagged hardcore, it was still a very pleasant game to play, However I hada bad stick of RAM so my whole computer would crash every 5-10 minutes while playing so I was unable to make it through the tutorial because all of the crashing +I started the last 3 days of closed beta :(

Well when you say its "F2p, a.t.m.", that means it will become p2p later on.... ;) ... Is it worth paying for this game?

theultimate2004
06-28-2007, 07:07 AM
No. The reason why I am saying that is because, they might change their plans and what-so-ever. I am unsure of that too, but it is f2p a.t.m.

P2p, as a self-proclaimed Lunia fan, whether there is any involvement of $, I will gladly do it. It is a biased side of view, so erm.. yea i.m.o payable.

Um....Korean Lunia is F2P with cash shop, so i can't see why Global Lunia can be P2P....and besides Korean Lunia has cash shop items with cute clothes for the characters, so no way Global Lunia will be P2P...

What a bad example. The reasoning is ridiculous, with the additional poor assumption made, your post is nonsense.

You fail to realise that it can be like K.Granada Espada vs SotNW.

One side is free and the other side needs $$ to play. No way Global Lunia will be P2P? Are you affliated with the Lunia staffs? I doubt so. And the percentage of it happening is minimal. And so, I highly believe you are like the rest of us here, whether it is p2p or not, it is up to them to decide.

Who knows, take RO for example, there are a various versions, some p2p, others (very few) f2p. So it all depends.

You do have a point but I'm betting my buck on f2p with cash shop =P (Gut feeling XD) I'm actually hoping there would be a hunting area because I don't wanna keep doing levels. >_>

Don't get your hopes up on that one. I can't think of a way they would be able to do this without everybody being in a gigantic party, meaning everybody would get EXP for one person killing something. Its the way the game is set up.

However, if they were willing to take the time and change the area characteristics, I can see it working. But KSing would be a HUGE problem.

Granado Espada is a different scenario because in the case of IAH's GE, they did a lot, and i do mean, a lot of advertising especially in Singapore (my home country...)..

Besides, Lunia is the sort of game that's like Maple Story. Granado Espada excels in graphics and sounds, something which Lunia can't really match and can't be compared because both are pretty different styles. So Lunia is most likely going F2P.

One more reason why i say Lunia will be F2P is because it's hosted by GameNGame. Lunia is also comparable to Trickster in terms of graphics (not in terms of quality). Look at Trickster and you'll know it's F2P with cash shop. Trust me Lunia will be F2P with cash shop most likely. After all Lunia started as F2P with cash shop in Korea which is highly successful so Lunia will follow the same business model.

As for Granado Espada, do you know that Korean Granado Espada started off as P2P, but then switch to F2P with cash shop because P2P was unsuccessful? That's why it's still unknown and there're doubts as to whether IAH's GE will go P2P or F2P because Korean GE used to be P2P when it went into commercial phase. So now IAH is thinking whether to follow Korean GE and start off as P2P (with cash shop) or follow its current business model of F2P + cash shop.

Oh right one last reason why Lunia will be F2P is simple....check the official website. Look at bottom right of screen and you'll see it clearly states "Free To Play!!!". When a MMOG states that it will be Free To Play, it will most likely be Free To Play. No game will state Free To Play and then go Pay to Play. It would be ridiculous if that is so. Lunia will be like other games that state "Free to Play" and will go with it. Enough said.

You got my point wrong. I took GE as an example just to show that different version can result in different payment method.

Lunia is the sort of game that's like Maple Story.

What? Are you kidding me? How on earth you linked up MS to Lunia?
One side-scrolling, and the other action-arcade??

Free to play and free to play forever makes a difference.

With the additional "forever", you are very sure it will not go pay to play again. Without it, you still don't know if it will go pay to play.
Just like when Eng. PT starts, it states " free to play ", and around 2004-2005 they did pay to play.

Basically, what I am trying to convey is, p2p or not, it is up to them to decide.
