Yeah, basically the topic title.
To me, its a big impact.
I simply love music.
My Itunes library increases by the day.
I think its the best way to express one's self.
I can listen to anything, cept country music. :P

One day, when I was really high on life(it's the only logical explanation, because I had taken no drugs in weeks) I wrote a little thing about music, pictures, and music videos:
So... if a picture is worth a thousand words, what does that make a video that consists of moving pictures and words?
And then there are the music videos. At first, one doesn't think much. But in truth, a music video, when done correctly, is the most amazing piece of communication.
First, you have the moving pictures which are worth billions of words in itself.
Then you have the music, one of the few forms of media that one can funnel and capture emotion as beautiful and pure the real thing.
All collaborated together to produce one item, something that can communicate to people on levels that we don't even understand.
It's really quite beautiful.
Music crosses all boundaries of communication and reaches a part of us that can't be reached in words.

Hell yes. Ever watched the hottest grade A lesbian porn ever, and then its butchered by that repetitive techno music and creepy narrator?
I can listen to anything, cept country music. :PCan't blame ya. Half of the time its a redneck way of complaining.

Yeah, it has some impact.
Depends on the music.
One of the first things I get on my computer is music.

I love music... I don't know what I'd do without it
I come home, turn on my computer, and pretty much turn music on the rest of the day
I'll practically always have it running!
Hell, I'm listening to music right now! And playing my guitar
It calms me down, get's me pumped, gives me something to relate to, etc. Music definitely has a big impact on my life

I'm HUGE into the experimental shit. Music has a hell of an impact on my life. If i'm not listening to music, i'm probably dead. Or creating it myself. Drums ftfw. Mellows me out, get's me pumped/hyped, psyched, everything. Can listen to just about anything, but i'm not that into country and rap at all. I like some of the hip-hop BEATS though. A cool example would be 'Mos Def' - "Six Days". Actually, a lot of tunes on the Tokyo Drift soundtrack. That stuff is good.

That is any genre of music hehe..... tho Rap & Country are the biggest culprits of this.... massive complaining of this and that, but when you think about it is there way of expressing there pain and sorrow.
Music is highly important in my life as without it I wouldn't be able to draw, it brings out the creative spirit inside me. :3

I love all music, and I am not joking when I say this.
My CD collection looks like the collections of twelve different people from twelve different countries.
Thanks to the Internet, I have gotten into even more nutty music that is impossible to buy here in the states. I am just starting to get into the Turkish Psychedelic music from back in the day, and all kinds of nutty stuff from the Balkans, and every other damned place in the world.
It has been a bit of a rough hunt, but I have been tracking down other music from the Geinoh Yamashirogumi. Who are they?
The group that did the stunning music in Akira.
I am truly all over the place, and let's not talk about my abnormally large collection of video game music.
People love to hate rap, and I don't get this. The underground scene is so freaking sick, that the "rap is crap" debate has no merit.
El-P: "I'll Sleep When You're Dead". Best Hip Hop album released in years, and the best album of this year to this day.
Go download "Poisonville Kids No Wins" and tell me that hip hop/rap is garbage.
(That being said, quite a few groups in all genres are uninspired garbage, heh heh.)
Music makes my life worth living twenty times over, so yeah, it has a big impact on me.
I need to buy a new keyboard (as in electronic piano/synth), though...
And practice my guitar..
(I love music, but learning it is a bit of a hassle!)

It soothes me. If I'm stressed out, just turn on the music, then it'll just go away. It's like a mental medicine or something I dnt know. Mostly I only listen to Alternatives, punk, reggae.

I think yes it is. Science proves if you can read musical notes and play a musical instrument, you have a much higher chance of having a VERY high IQ

Well.. I don't know if music got an impact on my life really. I listen to Death/black metal, and all it changed was my hair style o.O
And I use it to relax, and it works. Most just call it noise, but it's not. I can agree on some bands can be just.. awful (grindcore bands).

Awful, I do not approve.

yes, massive impact. i listen to everything except country. Everything also includes some classical, i listen to that when im writing essays since the lack of lyrics stops me getting distracted from what im writing.
also can people maybe stop debating over which genre of music is shit and whats 'the best'... its as pointless as arguing over the existence of god or if ps3 is better than the wii etc etc. it just pisses people off and goes nowhere.

Music has always been part of my life. Growing up listening to it with my parents (Mom was huge into classic country, gospel, and classical... My dad loved surf music, motown, and vietnam era/70's rock), singing in church at a young age, and late studying music in school and some college. I listen to just about any type of music myself except modern country and gospel. Not too keen on emo crap either. In Jr. High and High School I was a Band geek (Symphonic, Marching, Jazz Bands - All percussion, Tuba, Bass Guitar, and Guitar) and after school studied theory some in college and played guitar, drums, and sang in various metal and punk garage bands. No bands that ever got anywhere, but getting to play in front of people the music you enjoy and get free beer too boot was good enough for me. :p
Can't play music very well anymore thanks to having psoriatic arthritis, but I still love to listen to a lot of different types of music. I've always been someone who feels music. I have to be able to escape into a song to really appreciate it and that can be from a spiritual standpoint (Matisyahu, Nightwish, Bob Marley as examples), raw power (Slayer, Pantera, Motorhead as examples), or a technical standpoint (Rush, Dream Theater, Bela Fleck as examples) to name a few. My musical tastes are ridiculously eclectic from a love of classical, reggae, beatboxing, old school rap (Not hip-hop garbage, but real lyricist), opera, metal, electronica, bluegrass, old school punk, irish punk, etc.
Live music, don't just listen to it.

I love music and it has a big impact on my life. I dont what i'd do if i couldnt listen to the phat four at four. And i can listen to anything. As long as it doesnt consist of mostly screaming or doesnt make since or if its just plain stupid. For example:"Diamonds on my Damn Chain" wtf I hate that song. I really like the remix to promise feat. r kelly:D. And I cant stop singing, I wont stop singing, and I dont even know how to stop singing... XD
