~~~PART II: The outline~~~
Story: Not the back story to Dragonia Realms: Lands, but the back story to everything in Endyn. Still working on the DR: Lands back-story.
Many people from the far future (scientists, architects, doctors, ect) band together and go back in time…somehow (being vague here). They create the great city of Lemuria and create paradise on earth. However, a strange blight comes over the world in the form of birds. The birds land on plants and eat them away, destroying everything in sight. For a long time, the people fought them off and eventually killed them off, but the world had been scared permanently…or has it?
The people had been forced underground because of the birds and had renamed their city Mu (Mew), but the city could not last under such conditions. They knew that Mars still had life on it (it dies out latter from the same blight of birds) and so they attempted to create a portal directly to Mars. But, as you can probably guess, they never got to Mars. Instead they ended up on a planet called Valur in the universe of Endyn. The planet was huge and had every kind of plant and animal that had been on earth.
They spent many years taking plants and animals back to Earth trying to bring it back to life. After almost 70 years the job was done and the earth began to breathe again.
They left about half their people on Valur so they could populate the planet and so earth could get any materials it needed from it (Valur is about half the size of Jupiter). But the gate…had to be shut.
By this time, the people of Lemuria/Mu had discovered a way to actually create a universe, or so they thought. They had merely linked to another world that they called Gaia. It is said that in a universe of infinite possibilities, you can find any world you could possibly dream of, and that’s exactly what they did. They were smart when they went to Valur, making sure to test the air and everything…they did not do that on Gaia. Since they thought they had made the planet, the didn’t test the air. Unknown to them, the air carried a disease that made a person obsessed with perfection. The planet itself was alive in its own way and was indeed, perfect.
People transmitted the disease between the three planets, and by the time it took effect, it was too late. The only people who escaped were the ones on the other planets they had discovered: Endyn and Sandrikahn. The disease had a different effect on each planet. On Gaia it made people slaves to the planet. On Earth, when it mixed with the air, it started to die away in people, but then became immune to the different air and killed people from the inside out. On Valur, it made people insane, and they began to destroy the entire world. Lemuria died away, Gaia became the land of perfection, and Valur became a lifeless rock in space.
The people left on Endyn and Sandrikahn contacted each other and decided to leave the other planets alone and make their own. With the technology they had, they began to make artificial world that were flat. At first they could not think of how to have light or establish a safe orbit around a star, but then they discovered the wonderful power of this universe, magic.
In space they worked on their massive worlds, using a combination of technology and magic to create it. But those secretes are now buried…buried deep inside these immense structures.
Some people objected to leaving their worlds and stayed; relinquishing their technology altogether, but the rest went onto their new worlds and sailed away from Endyn and Sandrikahn.
The people of Sandrikahn created the world later called Lands, and the people of Endyn created the world of Endyn. Every year, these worlds would magically create a sun in the interior of the worlds. This was the 5th season called Tiasai, season of darkness. after 33 days, the sun would shoot out of the funnel at the bottom of the world and begin its orbit around the worlds.
With time, truth turns to legend, legend turns to myth, and myths are eventually forgotten. The people sealed away all their technology and a tower, one on each world. This tower would fly around the rim of the world and would make repairs to the structure from there. But no one has seen those towers for several thousand years.
Races: In the world of Lands, there are two dominant races and three minor races. As is expected, Humans are a dominant race. They control the major countries in the world, except for one. The other major country is called Felieny, dominated by (who else) the Felieny. The other minor races are scattered throughout the lands for the most part. You will find most Giads in the country of Fen, and you will find the Fey and Ardens in the country of Norsec.
Humans
Humans are just like we are. They have all the abilities that we do, and so it can be assumed that you know what the humans are like. There is, however, one thing that sets them apart from the other races which is a higher ability to achieve the status of Archon (meaning that they can use more than 30% of their brains). This is achieved by few, but all but 2 archons in history have been human.
Felieny
The Felieny are a cat like people who specialize in magic which they use to do everything from writing to building, talking to flying. They are a powerful, mysterious race that are said to be the first beings in existence in the universe. They are a peaceful race and will not fight back, even if they are attacked. They will retreat to a safe place; however that has never been necessary since almost no one knows that this race exists except in stories. Their country is almost impossible to find as well, and it’s even harder to find your way back…
Giads
Giads are much like dwarves in the sense that they are small humanoids that live underground. But the Giads can not be above ground without special glasses on. Also, they do not eat things that most people eat. Instead, they are kept alive by the very earth itself, absorbing nutrients through their feet. Their arms and legs are the same size, so a Giad can travel on all fours, giving them an excellent running speed. In all their experience in the earth, they have learned to craft marvelous things from stones and precious metals and gems.
Ardens
Ardens look very much like dark elves. However, they are not evil as most people like to think of the dark elves as. Most Ardens are very loyal to their country, which is ruled by a theocracy, and they live deep beneath the ground. They too can not see in sunlight without special glasses, but theirs are different. They practice the secret magic’s, more commonly known as black magic, and have learned how to enchant things to have strange effects on the person using the item. Their glasses allow them to see the auras of objects and people as well as sensing the presence of heat. Their houses consist of great hollow stalagmites and stalactites that they grow themselves with the aid of their magic.
Fey
At first glance, you might think that this was an elf, but it is not so. The ears of the Fey are not pointed, but rather curved, splitting into three different points. In their society, the more piercing you have on your points, the more important you are. Certain earrings show military status, rank in their religion, or wealth in society. It is not only their ears which set them apart from our elves, but also their skin. Their bones are raised up and form bizarre patterns under their skin and they act as a sort of armor for their bodies (their bones are as hard as concrete). Their skin is a tint of blue that matches the color of the water that consists of their home. Along with all this, they can breathe in water, and air without any problem.
~~~PART III: Game aspects~~~

Key Locations:
http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e209/Thadin/map.png
That is a very badly drawn map. I’m working on a new one. Moreth does not exist.

The main part of this map is taken up by the country of Fen. When the game starts, Fen is under siege by a country called Espur which is located on another continent. You actually begin the game on some islands that are not drawn here. Then you end up in the hamlet of Tabby which is nothing more than a fishing village. Once you are confindent enough in your abilities your can travel on to some more places. The closes are the cities of Artis and Pharlias. Pharlias comes into play later on if ever you wish to visit the ruined country of Ar’ken. In Ar’ken you will find out more about the world and what it is. You can even travel to the bottom of the world…if you can survive that is.

Back to Fen…

The capital, Etrian, is the greatest place for learning anything you ever wish to know. It’s also home to the Thieves’ guild and other factions that seem less friendly. The guild is located in the lower catacombs that stretch out beneath the city and are home to many guilds, both NPC and player.

If you really seek adventure, you could travel to the ancient city of Mursi and seek your fortune there. But more than treasure and monsters are their, if you look in the right places.

But for those in the imperial army, life is not so free. If you do decide to enlist, you may be sent on emissary missions to Norsec or infiltration missions in the dread country of Espur. But there will always be those who change sides and go with Espur. Maybe they shall even become high ranking commanding officers and own a large plot of land on the continent that Espur now occupies. Then again, some people will fight against them in Espur and try and over throw the powers of The Empire. Espur is not a happy place however, so be wary.

Money system:
The only reason that gold is more valuable than silver in our world is that gold is just harder to find. However, that is not so in Lands. The rarest metal is something called Valurium, a purple metal that has unusual properties. After that is Silver, that being the second rarest. After that is Gold, and finally Copper. Platinum exists in the game, but no one knows about it or where it is.

Class’s: There are no set classes in Dragonia Realms. We decided to have things more free flowing so that people can be whatever they want to be. You will know what your profession is simply by your job. You could be a Cook, Soldier, Necromancer, Healer, Head priest…a butcher, a baker, even a candlestick maker! And yes, you could probably be a mime if you really wanted to.

But these are just things that every game has, right? Maybe not the mime and I don’t think I have seen a candle stick maker…but there is more to our game than that…

Master of Darkness: Darkness is a form of magic that was created, unlike the Mana Pool which has always been in the universe. Darkness is similar to telekinesis except that you can also use a form of Elemental magic. You are able to draw out darkness from the void where it is kept and you can alter the shapes of things and make it look like you are using normal magic. But take care, the Darkness is a curse in the world and you will not be liked for using it.

Artist: There are some talented people in the world and I'm sure they would love to show off their art. Well now you can in Dragonia Realms. Buy a picture frame and canvas (or make them yourself) and then put the picture you scanned into your picture frame (working on how to make it possible so that copyright laws are not broken). A player comes by and sees you working and offers to buy the pictures for a rather large amount of silver. It’s a way to make money, and be creative all in the same round.

Historian: There is more to the world than you will find out talking to old Joe Clark sitting in the Lions Head Inn. For those truly interested in the history of the world, they may seek out ancient ruins, long buried beneath the sand. Or maybe you discover an ancient library high in the mountains and you begin to decipher their ancient script, revealing long forgotten secrets of magic that will help your countrymen further their lives. The possibilities are endless.

Sailor: You could take to a life at sea! You might be just a humble fisherman, living out your life in Tabby, or you may aspire to own your own trade company and sail between towns, cities, even countries. Or maybe you’re a bit more daring than that and you are a pirate who attacks those who aspire to own their own trading companies! Your life, your choice, your body dangling from a hangman’s noose.

Inn Keeper: Ok so yeah you walk into town and get a room at an Inn. You can regenerate your health, get some food and drink, and listen to the random chit chat that goes on in the common room. But suddenly you see a player walk out of the counter, and to your surprise, he is carrying a tray of food, to other players! Well what’s this, you might think. Why would anyone decide to work at an Inn when there are so many cool things to do that would be better? Answer: maybe they want to. Someday they want to own their own Inn. Not only that, they want to own twenty of them, all in different cities around the country, and possibly in another country as well. There is good money to be made for good service. Besides, how cool would it be to design your own Inn? I mean even more than being in a heist or having a monkey, having your own awesome Inn that gets you lots of gold while you’re off adventuring would rock!

Builder: Want to design your own houses and such? No problem. It’s sort of like working with Lego’s; you get the pieces and you design the building piece by piece. Someone who is very skilled at such things could earn a lot of money from a player who wants a sweet mansion. A difficult job, but one with great rewards.

Nation Leader: Through hard work, careful planning, and assembling the right people, you could go out and stage a hostile takeover against the wild dear and rabid mongoose (even though neither exists). Building your own country either in a place where no one is or in a country is risky business. You must defend against armies (even those of Espur) without the benefit of NPC’s who always win. But you would make the laws, you would be the ruler, and you would be able to do anything you wanted (even wage war with other countries). Tribute to Dane Cook: How awesome would it be to be part of a heist in your own country? *arrows flying that sound like AK 47’s* WHERES THE VAN! *more shots* THE VAN WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE BY NOW (Who says you can’t invent a van in a game?)! And what if the van shows up and there is a monkey driving it? Suddenly your shot and your looking at your bleeding leg going, No, no, no, no…wheres the VAN! All the while thinking that it hurts but looks cool. I mean really, that would rock!

Ballet Dancer: Ok, ok. Now this is probably going over the top for most of you. Your thinking that I'm nuts and this game is just a bunch of crap made up by a madman in his basement who has nothing better to do than waste everyone’s time. But I am honestly not kidding when I say that I will make this a profession. I know that a lot of people think ballet is just a stupid girly dance thing. Well it’s actually quite interesting and beautiful. Now imagine this: you walk into an auditorium and take your seat. The lights dim and a soft melody floats through the air. The spotlight shines on a girl who enters the stage. She begins to dance and you are captured by her beauty and grace. The music, the dance, everything seems enchanted. The stage is set perfectly, magical lights float through the air or dance lightly with the music. I admit that this would be hard to pull off since we would have to animate every movement that would be required in the performance, but it would be worth it. Now that would be a profession that would require perfect timing on the part of the person typing the commands to make their characters dance. It would probably be the most difficult profession in the game, but the results would be amazing.

Skills:

I'm sure you can guess that we have the standard skills such as leather working and blacksmithing and all the weapon skills. Therefore I shall list some of the unique skills in the game.

Acrobatics: It’s a good stat for those who do ballet as for those who are thieves. The ability to jump high is always good, but also to have balance, to be able to dodge things, or (for thieves) to rob houses without being caught.

Diplomacy, Intimidate, Gather Information: All skills to use on people. If you’re a politician, you would need this to convince your fellow comrades to vote your way when the council meets, or maybe you’re just want to get a lower price on that sword you’ve had your eye on. Guards could even use it to get prisoners to tell them what they need to know.

Survival: A skill used for finding food in the wild, or detecting a trap in a dungeon that would blow you to smithereens if you stepped on it.

Climbing: This could be climbing the curtains if you’re one of the Felieny, or climbing a mountain to get to an awesome looking cave.

Forgery: Who says you need a parent’s signature if you’re under 18 (Don’t actually try this)? You have to deliver a letter to someone, but are under orders to bring that very letter to your superior? Who will you obey? You could forge a letter and hand the fake to your commander, or the person for whom the real letter was intended, just to get them out of your way. You could even forge the signature of an enemy officer in order to infiltrate their camp and spy. Many uses, several ways, and one word: Forgery.

Dance: This is the main skill for those who wish to become ballet dancers. The coordination, the strength, the will power to go on with the dance comes from this. If your skill is low, you will fail on stage (or in front of friends). But if you practice, you will grow strong and your dance will be beautiful.
