Is jester better than rangers?

Rangers level faster. Unless you're talking about bow jesters.

Both yoyo jesters and bowjesters level faster.

Ranger gear is cheap though since everyone makes a Jester, bow or yoyo. Ranger's are best if you AoE, but 1v1 is possible, it's just you won't ever be as strong as a Bow Jester.

er...i'll have to say bow jester, and yo-yo jester... even with AoE, rangers are not exactly prefered in the field cus their sta and overall defense is not as good. Most GW guilds DO prefer them because they can weak the enemy at a distance, b4 they get t3h pwnzord. I'd say go yoyo cus poison and stun are cruicial to taking down opponents such as a particularly nasty guild leader

Actually, Ranger's have an incredible block rate, so defense is not necessarily needed. My friend recently restatted to full Dex on his Ranger. He can tank the whole mushie spawn as well as do 3k a hit, not too mention rangers can AoE from a distance.

They are supposed to be good with defence, I read a guide that said 40 dex rest sta. So someone is smoking here... but I like Jesters, more crits faster attack speed, stuns.. etc. Yo-yo all the way though..

They both excel at what they do, it's just Rangers are, or used to be underappreciated when people found out they were a skill spamming class. They are a great class, and with good equips they are probably the best AoErs.

no no no best aoe ers are either elementalists or possibly knights or billposters. most likely elementalists because pretty much all their attacks are AoE after lvl 65

Rangers, Eles and Knights are the best AoEers just because of all the bonuses they have. Knights have a large amount of defence allowing them to tank more than most classes, Eles have great AoE range and damage output, and Rangers have a great blockrate and and great damage.

Billposters are more built towards 1v1. They don't nearly have enough defence to tank as many mobs as said classes. They are a great class nonetheless, just not for AoEing.

Go jester, they rock.

rangers are fast levellers and can render psys and elems
thay can kill a bunch of mobs :)2

thay have great defensive abilities and nice AoE skills
they are the best AoErs for meh

rangers...don't underestimate us>_>
we can handle a great number of mobs
and prevent players from casting skills
