It sends them an invite to the website, basically to join the site. Their chances of being in the beta test is based likely before it starts, so sending them out after may not work.

It all depends on the devs, how many they want is how many they get. I'm sure they'd want a lot of people to test and see how well the server can handle us, and to get more feedback. O.o it all depends.

And the two lead GMS are both from gunz online. Guntrix (use to be maiet's translater who posted igunz announcements) and Dschang (ijji gunz head gm).

Both are nice guys (I've personally talked with both)...hopefully they will be a lot more active with the community though unlike in their gunz online careers.

They just send you a generic mail, to see if you have been selected, just logon the website and see if you have access to the 2 closed beta forums (you should be seeing 6 forums total). Your forum account will act as your game account afaik (I know, not very secure).

TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!], and TRY to exploit it [try to use lag to dupe items, or find an item that sells for more than it buys]. THIS WILL HELP! We need to prevent bugs and exploits before the game is released! Report it!

Sounds like a plan, but I find it unlikely that will be the end. Keeping mouths shut about a good looking game throughout the beta period is quite the task.

I don't kow much about you, but talking about being acepted into a CB is NOT a breech of the non disclosure agreement! So, with that said, unless you can show me written proof then I would apreciate it if you would stop trying to moderate something that is perfectly ok.

It is still there though, and if you have been accepted into the closed beta just go and ask if there is an NDA. I am very sure they will ask you very nicely not to admit you are in it and not share anything about the beta with those outside of it.

It should also be noted that those under 18 aren't even legally able to sign any NDA thus they legally should not be allowed in betas but that's a story for another topic. Just thought I'd add that in in case someone under 18 tries to say "I signed it but they can't hold me legally responsible".

I also got a mail saying I was invited to the CB and although I do agree with you regarding NDA's (as I test a lot) however this game has no NDA attached to it atm. There was nothing on the site or email aswell as they have tons of game info on there site for people to see such as pictures via blogs ect I dont think this game wants to keep people in the dark they want there face out there so we can hype the game :)

Closed Beta is more a hype thing than real beta testing nowadays. Besides, it's just a Korean port, there is no need for a NDA, the Korean beta tested the game a couple years ago, we are mainly here for server stability and translation issues.
And yes, I asked them, I've yet to receive an answer (posted it several hours ago).

1. Post up screens/videos of the gameplay.

2. Leaking too much ingame info.

By saying that you're in a beta doesn't mean you're breaking the NDA..it's when you leak the ingame info or anything related to the game itself. Anyone can say "Hey I beta tested this xxxxx game" and people may ask "What is it like?" if they went into details on what the game is about...yeah thats leaking info.

But if they keep it on the downlow without leaking too much info, then that is fine. This forum was just to say "Yay I'm in" it wasn't really about "Hey post up your IGN and screens when you get the chance" >__> IF anyone does that, they are indeed violating the terms (if there are terms). And some of the users are right, there wasn't a NDA contract...

IF there was it would have been sent in the e-mail --;, but like I said "saying you're in a beta" doesn't mean you break the NDA..

There is no rule about saying "hey I'm in thier closed beta" is not alowed. If I were to give any details or screenies about thier actual game then that is a breech of NDA.

Lets stay on topic, for those that are happy they are in the CB let your feelings out! :)

We will have a lot of coverage of this game, courtesy of me, very soon. There will be an interview, a preview, and review all over the next 30-60 days. I just need to get permission to post some screenshots and vids before the preview goes up and I'll hopefully be able to pull this off.

I am not trying to be an ass about an NDA guys, but if you understood the whole process going on behind the scenes with staff like me negotiating for beta account giveaways and other stuff that makes this site great, then you would sympathize with my simple request.

With that being said, the closed beta will be fairly short so those who are not in will not have to wait long to play. Once the game does launch, expect an Onrpg.com to be opened within days by someone on the staff ;)

I never really tell anyone anything when I'm in a beta, I usually talk to those who are in the beta as well. I usually just let those who want to find out know that "It's a decent game" or "Try it when it comes out, you may like it". If this is a bad deed then you could just hide the thread to keep it out of sight, I apologize o_O if I added to giving the forum a bad name.

there are posts at the fiesta site asking for an official clarification regarding the NDA however is this is indeed a forein - english game then I highly doubt threr will be an NDA al the information regarding the game is already out there just not in english. I have never played a forein - english game that had an NDA for CB or even had a CB longer than a few weeks, when a GM does indeed post weither there is or isnt an NDA I will let you know

If that happens, the chance for us to continue doing beta key giveaways drops significantly.

Now I am done sitting here arguing this point. I do not get paid to have arguments with people about NDAs. If I did I would not be a journalist, I would be a legal council.

I'm working on that too, just so you know ;) Those games WILL have an NDA, and likely require signed, hardcopy NDAs with proof of age as they are AAA quality games from US based companies that do not want secrets exposed.

You can pm e and we can argue via pming! :) j/k, its ok man. I have been wher you are now, and most likely will return to it whn lothia can get some more time and we can get Ocp active once again. But trust me, the game companys love other forums talking about thier game and how people are being acepted for Closed betas. its free publicity that helps get thier game out there and the rate of anticipation builds.

I actually had an iterview with a developer of Arch lord and his english translator, and they were extactic that there was so much hype about thier game in early closed beta stage.:3

Fiesta looks to be a fun game and best of all its gonna be free to play with cash shop, which by the way is in my opinion a smart move and a big money maker. If I were in charge of a gaming company I would have all my games f2p with cash shop.

With multi millions of clothings nd pets to purchase, cause like it or not haveing a awsome avatar and a cool looking pet is a great money making gig. XD

These types of large high budget p2p games always have ironclad NDA's aswell as there betas tend to last for up to a year. I was in LOTR beta for about 8 months and world of warcraft beta lasted just about a year. I was just referring to translated games which have already been beta tested and released in a foreign market.

Invites went out 2 days ago. If you didn't get an invite yet, or signed up at least 3 days ago, you are not getting one.

And NO ONE GETS INVITES. Why do you people not understand that you cannot invite people to the beta, just to the website itself?

Graphics won't make a game yummy for me.Overlord doesn't have rawrcake graphics and i want it because it has awsome gameplay.I bet Fiesta is a clone of Mabinogi,without all the awsome gameplay Mabinogi has.

They just send you a generic mail, to see if you have been selected, just logon the website and see if you have access to the 2 closed beta forums (you should be seeing 6 forums total). Your forum account will act as your game account afaik (I know, not very secure).

They never said the invites are for the beta...if that was the case, why have a CLOSED beta with like 10K+ people? People here saw 'invite' and started spouting about handing them out.

If you actually read, you'd see that it's random. Completely random. People who've signed up one day before CBT Accounts were sent out have gotten invited.

I find it amusing when people assume the worse of a game by graphical reasons, and act like they know a game when they just heard about it. I for one am interested in trying things out before I state dry opinions (so I won't look like a fool either). Graphics can be wonderful and gameplay can suck, therefore vice versa.

As beta testers we get the chance to experience the game at hand, to seek all abnormalities and relay all info to the devs. At the sametime we do that, we can experience the game itself rather than focus too much on it's errors, so having an open mind is a must.

Point being, don't judge something you know little or nothing about. It's when you get to try it you can say your dislikes, but they're always your opinions and what you may dislike another person may love.

Ive heard this game close beta may last about 1 month or so nad after that its might take about 1 or 2 week than open beta so a long time in closed beta.

its not dumb... they are asking for the pro hackers to find exploits and hacks such as dupe.. if they find out that players can dupe during the CB then its perfect because it will be fixed for open beta, but if they find that kind of exploit only during the open beta then they will have to do character wipe and such.

I also think it's right. They can have help of good hackers to find exploits and fix them before evil hackers come and mess our fun.
