Ok well after 5 projects who "had progress in it" i think this shit should be in the shameless promotion.

Nice to see some potential projects but I have to somewhat agree with everyone else, with so many projects come and gone no ones going to put time into it if its just this weeks obsession.

Agreed. I can't count all of these Naruto and Pokemon games that still havent left their beta or alpha. If this one happens to release, I take it back :)

Idea's for features:

No turn taking

Looking somewhat like ragnarok

when battling you become te pokemon and when you press at attack button and the trainer shouts out the skill to help with no turn taking.

Quests can be like the ones in gameboy

night/day/weather system
Shop system and items for monsters to help in battle

Able to fight the current owner of a gym and battle for gym's once every two weeks or so.

Make it just like any other mmo but with a variety of *classes* in one account. Meaning pokemon

About Princes Quetion.. what kind of battle system there will be..

Well Each trainer basicly has 6 Pokemons... and once trainers start to fight the Battle mode will be triggered. Something like arena zoomed of current area where trainers fight by using those 6 pokemons... this system is good in some ways because via this i could even code like 6 Trainers Vs 6.... lol

Poke Mon mmos dont work, because you don't feel special when your pokemon suck cause some better person caught all the legendarys, Also the game is made to be a great singleplayer rpg... many things would have to change to make this multiplayer..

Are you kidding? Go look at Pokemon Online and Pokemon Den of Ages, both of which, are being developed by a competent staff. Those games outclass this project, and have more meat and potatoes in the stew. By far.

There will be many good features in short time... like pokemon treading.. pokemon cloning... shiny pokemons. ... i dont have people who is willing to help because i mostly code alone to make it most balanced.

I can't defend DOA because they're literally ripping most of the resources. But POL. Oh ho ho ho. The only thing POL's staff didn't make was the background sprites. Character sprites are all made by the spriters and graphic artists (I know this because they're using the Diamond trainer sprite that I made). Music, by demand of Nintendo, is being completely re-done. The GUI is being completely revamped, and so much more. The creators of POL aren't shitting you like this guy most probably is. They've even added an update of what's to be expected of the POL V.7 release.

Naturally, being heavily involved with your community, as well as re-making more than half of your resources you'll move slower.

And DE. He has no credibility. Hating on him is in order.

Well to keep u all updated... I finished Encounter Module. Along Pokemon Capture.... PC feature is now a bit updated showing pokemon levels.

The way most of you are acting is completely outragious, you don't treat people like that! If they want to try and make a game, let them, if you lost hope, move on. But don't waste your time flaming the person (and from what I saw, I consider that flaming) If you dont got anything helpful to say then leave, its fine if you give negative feedback, but from what I saw some of you (mostly one of you) just took it a little too far and pretty much insulted solidust >_> .

I just want to remind you all, games are not easy to make, and so most people quit in the middle. Also if you lose complete interest in what your creating is it worth it to continue agaisnt your will? People just be nice and if solidust dissapointed you, you can say so and move on.

He's using nothing else than Visual Basic 6... Which isn't a dedicated game creator. Visual Basic needs Good Coding Knowledge and more...

To make an online game from scratch? Yes, its not like you can pick up a book and learn it all in a day(unless your genius or prodigy) also, VB6 is expensive and getting an illegal copy is like pulling nails out of your ***. (that is unless your good with those kind of things..)

There are 'player worlds' engines out there that enable simple coding or major coding to their source, like a foundation. But its better to make your own, get your own artist or else onRPG will take you into an ally and beat you with babies.
