Ok, so, today is the big day that Cabal goes F2P.

Now I have scoured the forums quite diligently (cabals forums) and it seems to me, that if you can make an account, you can play basically.

The account page will check your IP it seems, and once you get in game, as long as you don't advertise where your connecting from, there shouldn't be an issue since they don't actively seek out people from other regions connecting.

I tried to find any specific info if the game checks your ip region when it autoupdates or connects to the game and as far as I can tell it doesn't seem to, but I am not 100% sure on this.

If this is the case, making an account via a proxy wouldn't be terribly difficult.

Finally, I think Canada should be allowed into the EU servers .. I mean we have the queen on our money! -- that should count for something :)

Anyone have more specifics on connecting?

Servers are online but im having realy bad lagg problems which i never had, like a month ago before it closed for testing anyone else got a lagg problem or is it my computer lol

Well, I made my account, downloaded the client, patched and updated nprotect... but when I try to sign it, it keeps failing to connect to the server ... seems like it's timing out and it tells me to try again later.

Anyone able to get in game?

No it will not work they ban IP outside of europe, you will need to your one of them proxy redirect thingys lol more info in the cabal section.

I thought the whole queen / money thing made sense ... Glad someone else saw it!

Game actually looks pretty cool, I managed to get myself in for a short time, and I spent a fair bit of time this afternoon talking to their GM's .. they are majorly overloaded atm (Something like more people signed up and signed in today than in 2 whole weeks before).

The Updater got hit the hardest (Guess I got lucky and got in before the rush or something) and the cities where jam packed full ... all the servers were maxed out in the red (they have tons of servers too).

So don't feel bad if you didn't get in today, would have been a love/hate relationship (loved to be in, but hate the lag sorta thing).

I was told they have working on the lag issues and patcher issues atm though, so hopefully it will get better soon.

Gamengame does not own the license! gamengame is not a publisher! gamengame will not be hosting or publisher the US version of cabal! gamengame is a company that helps korean companys find publishers for there games. Cabal US has not got a publisher yet or it has got one and the publisher is taking its time to launch the US version my money is on no publisher.

Devolpers spend lots of money devoloping their games so when it comes to marketing it to foriegn countrys its something they find hard to bank roll thats where gamengame steps in they help the company market their game to the foriegn market in the hope that a publisher will take it up, So all the people on the forums who keep insulting gng should step back and look at the games they are/have helped get setup and they do all this for free!
