Am I the only who thinks anime is boring? I mean seriously, all these anime are basically the same. The only one that I could ever get into for a bit were Case Closed and Love Hina but then I stopped after like 7-8 episodes of watching them. Anyone the same? I just created this topic to see if anyone else are not fans of anime seeing that many here are (even has its own subforum).

I think Trigun is one of the best shows ever, I never get tired of it. Well, I don't have cable anymore, but even if it was a rerun, I would enjoy every second of it.

Among the worst shows (in my opinion) are the Gundam shows. Especially Gundam Wing. It's worse than a soap opera. They have an argument, cry, get in their suits, bicker some more, cry some more, fight and say "I don't want to fight you!" and keep beating each other up anyway, then one of them gets hurt, the other cries, and this is repeated. Unless its Heero Yuy, he doesn't cry really. He's more of a tearless emo.

The suits are cool though.

Quit comparing Bleach to DBZ, they aren't on the same level. I couldn't stand DBZ, it made me want to rip my eyeballs from their sockets and crush from the horid stupidity of that show. DBZ was nothing but mindless battles that made very little sense in the first place.

Bleach actually uses Japanese myths for the background of the story. Shinigami translates to death go which litterally means soul reaper or more traditionally Grim Reaper. Bleach actually takes time to develop its plot and it makes me go crazy when I constantly see these "once DBZ fans" complain about a 2 or 3 episode filler that tries to make the story in the long run last and vary.

Also, that last part about order of events, that happened in animes even before DBZ, so that is a false comparison.

--My anger rises everytime I hear the phrase, "Bleach is the new DBZ," cause it ain't!!.

But a few weeks ago while I was on vacation at my grandmothers house, I was stuck in a basement with a bed, light and TV to sleep. So, I popped on the TV on Saturday night and there was Adult Swim, with the tail end of Bleach on. So I left it on to mock it.

I thought Bleach was pretty well, retarded, so I continued to watch and mock. If I remember right, the next show that came on was Blood+ which was OK. Then came Ghost in the Shell, the first anime show I've ever actually enjoyed. I'm pretty sure it's a kind of cult favorite, but for those of you who don't know it's pretty much a BA futuristic show of COPS. I then ended my night by watching some Vampire show, which was also pretty decent.

Later I watched the movie of Ghost in the Shell via YouTube, and thought it was ok, but not as good as that episode was.

I like some cartoon shows like South Park, The Simpsons, and other shows that are not cartoons but anime, atleast the ones I have seen are just plain boring. The plots are pretty much the same except the reason why I liked Case Closed was because the plot changed all the time.

Anime is pretty static in terms of what happens, that Naruto dude just keeping fighting. At a time I did like pokemen (everyone did a long time back in the 90s) but then I realized it is just the same plot over and over, same person just throwing different pokeman out.

Bleach is so overrated, I liked the beginning of it, it was one of those funny Anime, but after the show progressed it turned into the 25minutes of " oh my god hes so powerful", "how do i beat him", and random bursts of "Hyaaaahh" and partial " Byahhhhhhhhh". =P Same thing with naruto, it was cool at the beggining but after a few episodes I had one too many "Believe it!" I've watched a few animes... Like hellsing, because the soundtrack was roxor, samurai champloo because it was the best anime ever, and rurouni kenshin OVA(the only part of rurouni kenshin that was well-drawn and had a good story)...

So basically, when I see and hear about people who watch anime all the time, Im thinking they're fooling themselves... They're so in love with japan, and thouroughly biased, that they have convinced themselves that 90% of all anime is quality entertainment, and they'll watch it no matter what... It's just kinda sad...

I've watched a few animes... Like hellsing, because the soundtrack was roxor, samurai champloo because it was the best anime ever, and rurouni kenshin OVA(the only part of rurouni kenshin that was well-drawn and had a good story)...

What I don't get, and really don't like, is otakus. Yea Im talking about all of those who watch animne and basically nothing else.
Newsflash: japan does not equal anime, and otaku equals Fail-at-life in japan, so no future there.
Most people in japan are not otakus, and those who watch anime watch it with the same atitude westerners would watch normal tv-series, because that's what they are, just animated instead of with real actors...

How many westerners watch tv series non-stop all the time, download every damn seires to be released over piratebay, and watch every new episode on youtube the moment it's released? Not many.

Most people that do it, do it because only a little bit is released for other countries. I personally want to go to Japan to get a self-cleaning toilet, a sensory sink and a power-suit (increases body strength 5 fold).

1.There a guy with several chicks who like him and he doesn't do anything ecchi.Tenchi muyo,Dual Paralle Universe,Love hina (oh wait...),Ects.

2.When they get themself beatup to solve problem WDF????
Like that big tall guys from bleach who doesn't fight back when about 5 dude jumping him.

3.I HATE it when characters seem to fight an overpower enemy and then only to draw power out of NOWHERE and beat up that enemy??I mean wdf,half the time that make no sense.Where the storyline?

Would list more but I forget them for now.

Fucking agreed. Yu-Gi-Oh pissed me off with that. Really it did. He'd be getting his arse whooped, having, like, 200 life-points are whatever left, and the other guy would have 4000. Tell me he doesn't pull some random chain reaction effect out of his ass. The guy would get some card we've never heard about before out of his deck at impeccable timing and then pwn the offender. Bullshit.

There's an actual Naruto "gang". They walk around the hallways in a big group all wearing Naruto headbands, that is until one of the APs finds them and tells them to take off the headbands.

One morning I went outside and saw this kid sitting on a rock in the school's front where the buses stop by to drop kids off, just sitting there doing hand signs with his Naruto headband on for at least half an hour.

Anyway, from the sounds of it you only watched crap anime. Find some stuff from the GainaX studio. Truly wonderful stories.

Oh, and any anime series that does not have an end in sight sucks.
It's like having a book that never ends. It's fun and entertaining for a little while, but it just starts to repeat itself and it gets stupid and boring.

Stories have a beginning, a middle, and an end. If it's missing any of those, it's simply not a story.
