Starcontrol 2 that I posted was orginally a console game. There are tons of free console games that have been ported to PC.

ModChip doesn't matter. It's still a free game. You have to pay for your internet to play a mmorpg. So they can't be free...

And you don't need a modchip, you can copy your bios from PS2 to PC and you can use PS2 emulator to play. But since you will make some smartass remark regarding it's not really a console game then since its played on PS2 emulator on PC. You can also hook your PS2 up to your broadband router and load the games that way.

That is an emulator that plays 202 out of 909 PS2 roms.

roms are illegal, do not mention them here. It plays free games just fine, most real PS2 games have some type of encryption on CD or something and its illegal to decrypt which is why the PS2 emulator doesn't play them.


Wether free games suck or not is irrelvant. This forum is in the free game section and that is what belongs here.

Oh sorry. It seemed as though you were implying to me that I said he was wrong though. I never said he was wrong, I was stating that he shouldn't really care! It's not a big deal, look at the RP section. Mostly people who post online games there, not actual Roleplays.

This sub-forum would be better suited under the Main Category forum, under the name General Gaming, imo.

Not trying to be a mod, just tired of all the posts in wrong section and the constantness of people flaming others. I reported your posts cause your being extremely rude. Which is agiasnt rules if you read the post titled "read this before you post".

I don't care if I'm making a difference or not. If everyone thought what they did didn't make a difference, nothing would get done.

Kalagraz, listen. I'm not being rude, I'm getting my point across. Other forums are worse off than this one. As I said before, the RP forum is atrocious. Just because you make one post doesn't mean people will look at it. I've already tried that. I have learned from experience that it doesn't work! It's annoying, yes, but there's no way that people are going to listen to you. Even if this is stickied it won't work. On average, how many people do you think actually read the rules? Not a lot of them. Were you a member before we had the new OnRPG? If so then you would know that the forums aren't in a bad shape yet. The old forums were so full of spam and unrelated topics that it wasn't even funny! Believe me, the mods probably won't care. One mod that I know of has already posted a topic that is, so called, off topic for this forum. Do you think they should revoke Lothia's moderating position for that? I don't!

Decryption is illegal. Which is why old emulators are perfectly legal, but newer ones you need to use your own bios. Cause the united states court ruled that if a emulator uses its own bios it is legal, but decrypting a console bios is illegal.

Older consoles the bios was not encrypted, and it could legally be used on emulators. Now days, they are encrypted, which is why emulators like psx2 do not come with a bios, and cannot be used without loading your own PS2s.
