Knowing all MMORPGs you know, how well would you rate World of Warcraft from 1 to 10?
Please be honest.
I don't have much free time, still i would like to try it tho i have some doubts if i should.
Tell me the best and the worst about it, please. XD

Overall, I would give WoW an 8/10.
As per its goods and bads..
Quest system- This is a win lose sort of thing. There are a LOT of quests to be done. Enough to keep you busy till 70 for sure. Which is a good thing on paper. Sure, it keeps you away from the dreaded "grind" that all other MMORPGs have. The problem? It gives you a whole new grind. Quests tend to be the same thing, "go kill this many of these" "Go kill some things, and collect this item from them" "bring this to that guy so that he can tell you to go out and kill things to collect items that you can bring back to me" (phew.. run on sentence..) Sure, it's a good change, but eventually get's repedative.
Graphics- Though not top of the line, WoW makes up for its less than perfect graphics with environmental detail. Everything looks pretty beleivable. And is layed out well. Instead of walking through an empty dark hallway full of enemies, you'll be venturing through a cobweb/bone infested crypt filled with undead. Also, there's no loading screens unless you're switching continents, or teleporting large distances. WoW is pretty seamless. The graphics do have a "cartoony" feel, as most people say. And for some, this turns them away.
Gameplay-
The battles are fairly simple. Initiate an attack through a hotkey, or clicking on the ability you want to use. Once in battle, it's all about taking the enemy down as quickly as possible. Not much else to it. Later, you'll get certain skills that add to the interactivity in battle, but when it comes down to it, you're just beating monsters to death. Nothing too original here.
Tradeskills were implemented well. If you work at them, you will be able to make your own gear throughout the grind.
Controls-
It took no more than 14 mins or so for me to figure out how to control everything about my character. There's a VERY short learning curve, and blizzard threw in some hot tips that pop up and help you along, if you need.
Honestly, it's a fun game, but not all that everyone cracks it up to be. It's somewhat overhyped in most of its reviews. Definately better than all the FREE MMORPGs out there though. Just try the trial, see if you like it or not.
i still laugh at the people who turn around using their keyboard

10 definitely for me. Nothign else can compare realy.
I'd give it a 7. It's put well together and all but at the end of the day your still paying for a game that has the same gamplay as countless free games.

8.5/10
The only thing that bugs me is the PvP, and the fact that most quests are quite repetetive, and some are quite lame. Low drop-rates FTL.
Not all quests are that bad though... like an early one I liked in the barrens spawned a small army of centaur, and you had to fight them off (along with some horde NPC allies) until their warlord showed up, which then you had to kill him and take his banner. Still a kill so-and-so quest, but it was a fun one.

What it lacks is (marginally) balanced PvP, because in PvP some characters are waaayyy overpowered/weak compared to others. There are some limitations as well like on PvP servers, you can't attack members of the opposing faction if you are in their territory, so they must initiate combat. I was expecting more of an open PvP kinda world, but this gets better as more areas are contested as you level up.
