Ive been playing MS since the day it hit international... Maybe the 2nd day of beta before we had 5 channels... and when u had to use your email to get in :D Those were the good beta days... I loved maple then, now its just a bunch of noobs running around hacking...And i hate it. Ive actually quit MS to find a better game :( If only the hacking would go away then I'd be happy and play MS forever :D

MapleStory will never lose it's majority population of hackers until Wizet gets off their *** and does something constructive.

I've NEVER seen a GM.

Some guy caught a hacker vaccing in Kerning subway once and he herded a group of people down there and reported the guy. There were over 15 people in said party. We all reported. Half hour later the guy is still hacking.

this is what GM should do:ban ur ip address so that u cant make another account.and u have to convince them to get ur account back and they will let you. and if they catch u hacking ever again then they will ban ur ip address forever,no excuses. that way, the hackers will be scared to hack and start play legit :D

If they did that most of the community would be gone. Meaning less people buying NX cash, meaning less money for Wizet.

I wish beta was still around! I never got a chance ot know why it was shut down =( there will always b hackers no matter what.. there are just to many of them and i dont think GMs can ban every single person..

I don't get why you say that mostly noobs are hacking. All the hackers I have ever seen were level 70 or higher! It's annoying too. And there is no way to completely stop the hacking population.

That would be stupid, no offense. They would have to find and ban every hacker. Then that would increase the mail they get by 2X at the least, is they were successful. Then they have to decide if the crime was punishable by ban. When they let others join MS again, then there would be more hackers. Then I think there would be an increase in hackers so they can tire the staff out and then start hacking again. Thus you end up worse then when you started. So there is no solution to the problem.

The only thing I have problems with is the vaccers and the trade stealers. Other than that I don't see a problem with the others. They are just ruining the challenge of the game and they don't get to go through the full experience of the game. Their problem.

With the cash shop in full fledge now, corruption is setting in. in other words, it's hard to ban someone spending 20$ a week.

And on the better games, I'm kind of doing the same thing now. Buy Oblivion and waste your days away.. or I'll eat you o.o

Almost anybody who's determined to do so can simply change their IP address. Depending on your ISP, your IP address could be changed every day you get online. So this isn't a sure solution. There are also proxies that can mask your IP address to bypass these kinds of blocks.

Because Wizet/Nexon is a company, and companies really only care about one thing: money. Based on this principle, they may be less likely to ban someone who is filling their pockets by purchasing NX.

As I see it, the only way they'll stop or reduce hackers is by either 1) Changing aspects of the core game itself to prevent certain hacks from working, or 2) Appoint more active GMs to more closely monitor the game. Either way, both those solutions would cost time and money.

Don't expect a solution to hackers until hackers themselves start to reduce the money they make from the game. The more hackers Maple has, the more people will be likely to quit, and the less money they'll make from the cash shop. At this point, there's no telling if they'll just squeeze the last profits they can and close the game, or spend the money to try and fix the issue and hope to get the money back from players in the long run.

If leveling in the game wasn't so tedious and time consuming, then the thought of other people hacking to higher levels wouldn't have such an impact on players. Still, vac hackers disrupt training. In high populated servers, you know how annoying it is having to channel surf to find an empty channel. Now you have to skip through channels that are completely unplayable with off screen vaccers. It also gets extremely annoying when a vac hacker takes over your channel. This happened to me a few times training my cleric on stirges in the subway. I'd be happily training, the whole map to myself, then some hacker comes in, flies to the top, and takes all the spawn. Nothing you can do but leave in frustration.

and this is no problem at all Wizet has been making too much money not just from GMS but all the other versions of MS as well... unless the money doesnt get shared amongst the diffrent versions in anyway.... Besides They shouldnt be worried about the money, thought thats why this was a f2p game...

God, I just found 2 hackers within 10 minutes at Burnt Land II. Now that's pathetic. One thing that might help in catching hacers is remove that damn "You may only report once per day." I understand being able to report a particular character once a day (You could easily abuse it if you could constantly report someone), but only being allowed one report a day? That's just stupid.

At least here I was able to clean this up and train like usual. Sometimes they are probably vacced under the map cuz there is no spawn at all. But yea, numbers of hackers are growing, you hear, Wizet???

do gms do anything i swear a couple a days ago in scania some guy was selling steelies for like 1mil and it was packed and yet atleast 4 hackers were flying around at the top
