well i was thinking of getting bf2142 and i wanted to hear some opinions you guys have about this game :D

Download the demo before buying it, there is a multiplayer one that will give you a taste of it.

this game is awesome but a lot of people are having Punkbuster problems.. Took me a couple days to fix it.. also theres only about eh 200-240 servers.

In all honesty the demo for BF2142 did not do the actual game justice.
I found the demo for the game to be horrific to say the least, but once I bought the actually game I find that I liked it a lot more then the demo.

it's a very fun game... me and saneless (old member) started a successful clan with this game.

Well I have Battlefield 2, I tried the 2142 demo and it felt way to similar to 2. Not worth the price if it feels like a mod for BF2.

Hey, i bought this game a while back (less then 2 months) its a great game but you need to look into these:

Fast Paced Game (like counter strike source and day of defeat): No
Features and Accessories: A lot!
Better then BF2?: Haven't played bf2 but the graphics are better in this newer game...

Well I have Battlefield 2, I tried the 2142 demo and it felt way to similar to 2. Not worth the price if it feels like a mod for BF2.

gfx engine is the same, to me they both have good gfx , only difference is that 2142 is futuristic and has cooler looking shit. But sadly 2142 is a failure compared to bf2. I would not waste money on it.

The good thing about BF2142 is that it's WAY less controller by vechicles.
In BF2, vechicles ruled the entire map, infantry was screwed alltogether.

BF2142 features more ways to counteract vechicles such as distort mining, using ray guns to disable them temporarily (works magically well against choppers, since they can't control the ship for a while ,usually end up crashing)
Also getting ranks and unlocks goes a lot faster in BF2142.
The learning curve is also still doable, Battlefield 2 is overruled by pro's who already played the game for years, while in BF2142 there are still a lot of beginners.

I recommend bf2142. I find it more appealing than 2. Titan gameplay has a steep learning curve and would require you to switch classes if you want to preform at your best. (Like a sniper would suck if it was time to defend/assault titan) However Titan is definately the funnest mode IMO.

titan is fun to do indeed. Easier points (satilite defend bonus, titan defend bonus, titan attack bonus, ...) although i kind of disagree that you have to multiswitch, unless the way you say, you play a sniper on the ground. I always play with an assaulter, which works fine for both onground and titan defend/attack

not really, i have this "stickied" outfit for my assaulter.
the VOSS-LR (since i'm used to it, i can't shoot with the other one, too much recoil), a reanimation kit and the anti personal rockets. I've never used a shotgun before.
