Hmm it is strange, but this was happening to me as well.

The way I fixed it, is first of all you have to make certain that the account info you input into the login screen is correct.

If you are certain it is (which I was), try changing your password on the official lunia site, and retry it. This is what worked for me anyways.

There are alot of other reasons, such as firewalls, and other software that could be your problem...but what I told you is the most common reason.
