hi im new to player worlds the MMORPG creator thingy. I was going over the step by step on this site when i came to the point that you are supposed to log in and create the map, butonly works if ur charracter name is purple(because variable access=4) but it isnt purple. the guide mentioned that if that happens that im supposed to go to the playerworlds website but it seems to be gone. I searched the forms for a solution but couldnt find one, I would really like it if someone could tell me where the site is now or tell me how to fix my problem. Thanx a ton and if this is the wrong form for this i'm sorry.

If its anything like its decendent Elysium, then you'll have to go into the client folder and find the accounts .txt file. Open that up and change the access to 4, then save it and restart the client. Hope that helps. :)

He means the server folder, go into the server folder, accounts, find your account and then double click the txt and find access, then type in 4

If you're using the last version of playerworlds you may also wish to know that there are some better "expanded" versions of it out there.

More features, greater functionality, better systems and forum support. Tons of stuff like that.

If you want the open source version id suggest Elysium (Be careful of Diamond, has a dodgy license agreement that leaves Pingu in ultimate control over your game), or if you dont mind working inside the engines very generous constraints id suggest Eclipse (www.touchofdeathproductions.com)
