The Wii. What About The PS3?

http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/5224/20070810102wx0.jpg

Earlier this summer, we posted that the Sofmap in Akihabara had moved Nintendo goods to the first floor and Sony products up to the third floor. For over ten years, the PlayStation brand had dominated the store's ground floor, an area that obviously draws the most foot traffic. This isn't that big of a deal, really, but retail can be really telling on just how the demand has shifted. Fliers decorating the store list the Wii and the DS as "popular." What about in-store PlayStation fliers? That, dear reader, after the jump.

Wow, that's like eye level for small dogs. Note: The store's second floor is used games. Besides the PlayStation brand, the third floor is occupied by the Xbox 360. And Microsoft even has more publicity! *Shudder* Sounds like some Japanese gaming wasteland.

Fear not! This is just one retailer, and the PS3 is going to be fine in Japan. Just you wait.

That's not surprising, considering the Wii outsells the PS3 5 to 1.

Who cares how much something sold? If you saw a good movie that didn't make big on the box office it doesn't make it any less entertaining. Indie games are sometimes the most interesting.

well this is nice.
i dont consider the wii to be a gamer's console. there's no real game. mario, metroid? pfff.
only reason it sells so much is pretty much mom and dad being like ''WOW LOOOK THIS WILL GET OUR LAZY *** KID MOVING CAUSE WE CANT RAISE HIM TO DO ANYTHING ELSE!" and people being brought in by the new controls, wich suck ***. doing jerking off motions to kill people with a sword is now what i call fun. ive had a wii, hated it, sold it.
ill keep my 360 and ps3, kthxbye.
the wii will always outsell the 2 others, due to the fact that its aimed at familys and such, and ps3 and 360 are more gamer oriented. this isint a surprise.

well if something sells more they have more money for advertising! woo

@BTW ps3 is good... but is ****in overpriced.. in england when it cam out it was £450 i can't think what that is in dolars? $900??? but anyway the wii is cheap at £160 and sells a shet load more so the ps3 was doomed to failure and they are barely selling any cos of the insane price even the games go up to £50/$90

good point there

its all personal preference i dont like this war going on ..

oh PS3 kcisk ur *** ur a lame wii loser nerd
.... sad perthetic and useless

fine its polotics for kids..couldnt emphisies on that word kids there..certainly acting like it..immaturity etc

anyway

yes personal preference

nintendo is first huge in japan
but then again so is sony
ps2 stormed japan
nintendo DS did
the cube failed quite badly
but innovation of the DS and wii comes along
sony copies the wii's motion controler
sony increases graphics compatibility
xbox is cheaper and allready rivals that of a ps3 on a hd tv on some cases

so yes that right there is a non biast view
