Ooh ooh me!

I play console RPG's more than computer actually. I like the feel of the controller unless it's an MMORPG, and I don't like the fact of P2P games, but I'm too picky to play F2P.

I have an Xbox so there isn't much I can do in the way of RPGs. Moved to single player RPG, also.

I've played the first Xenogears. :D I love the classic FF games, I also like Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. I've played quite a lot of the Suikoden games...and the list goes on. I LOVE console RPGs. I've even played a couple on the Xbox. :p

Mostly the PS2, PSX, SNES, and NES ones.

My favorite has gotta be La Pucelle Tactics. Such a great game.

To get money in the begining of Disgaea I played to second (i think) level in the game. The one where it shows you the chain attacks. You can easily kill 90% of the enemies in that stage with ONE attack...then you just have to kill the last two that are on the side of the castle and you win...and get MONEY!!! :D Yeah...Disgaea was a great game.

No...I don't have Suikoden 2 sad to say...I haven't even ever played it. :( I never really got far in Xenogears though cuz, as you've already said, WAY too confusing.

There are some great RPG's for the PSP which one of them is YS: The Ark of Nephatism. Great RPG if anyone is thinking of buying it, heres a nice review here

The first YS game was for the SNES. I've never actually played it...but it looks REALLY good for a SNES game. The graphics weren't that great, but what I saw of the gameplay...out of this world! It was like no other game out at the time. So...yeah. I might try the PSP version out.

I played it... wasnt impressed actually.. The plot and storyline of the game was done very poorly...:( There was a shit load of lose ends and the gameplay was so repetitive i didnt care anymore. Ended up trading it in for store credz...

I do! Only I play Gamecube, which means like 3 RPGs. But I'm happy with Tales of Symphonia and Baten Kaitos and Paper Mario: Thousand year door! I am also making my own console style RPG using RPG Maker XP. (Once I obtain a legal version that is...

OMFG! Yes! Legend of Mana has such a great soundtrack...The music is simply great. The background art, amazing.I bow to the artists... The character designing, just everything was magnificent :o Man it is such a great game. All around great classic... There is so much to accomplish in that game that it keeps u in front of your TV for hours... I own it. Baught it at a movie rental store for 9.99 :D great to have in da collection dats for sure :)

Well it HIGHLY depends on the controls of the RPG, if there are many options ingame then I pick computer... If it is more of an action/rpg then i pick playstation2 (easy controller that im used to) and if it is a rpg that has simulated fights that you need to use combonations or holding multiple buttons i pick gamecube because the controller and a bit simple and easier to handle... However all that will change soon with the coming of the wii and ps3 so we will see what is next...:D

So true.. It's an awesome game. If you think back to snes days and ps1 (even though i'm pretty young), you can figure that the rpgs in those days were better than some of those today. Also keep in mind that those were truly the starting point or root for many of the games today. For instance, Star Ocean was originally on the snes platform (I think?). It was ok, but look at the one for PS2. teh pwnzorz:p Final Fantasy Saga too. It's probally from the response that fans such as us give to the games and gamemakers that we still have our favorite game titles today. In a nutshell, i'm basically explaining the incline of how console rpgs developed. Who knows? Maybe if there were no consoles or platforms, MMORPG's would never have been created thus meaning ONRPG would not have been created. Hell's reign of total chaos...
