I'm new to the boards and I realize these topics must be done to death but you all know that new MMORPGS are being released very often. As such, I'd like some input as to what the community here considers the best. Oh, and admins, please keep the flaming on this thread to a minimum please.

As you said, your post is unfortunately well into the realm of cliche so I can really only offer the typical response. There is no best game, it's a matter of opinion. If by best you mean "most hyped" that would likely be DOMO and Seal Online sincethey both have been released/will be released this month in addition to RF Online because it just went from P2P to F2P. Really, the best way to decide if a game is popular or not is to see which games have the most topics about them and then check those topics: If you constantly see the words "overhyped" "grindfest" and "boring" it means people had high hopes but the game is bad, if you don't see too much of that then the population probably mostly agrees that the game is at least decent.

as for this moment, RF Online and DOMO are the best. I've only played RF Online, as I'm playing it now and used to play when it was P2P. I'm trying to play DOMO but the site is down. RF is excellent. It's very addictive, though a bit grindy. It has the best PVP in any game i've ever played.

If pvp is your thing, go RF, and pick Cora. :D. If you're more into the cute anime games, play DOMO.

yea....there isn't the BEST mmorpg. Everyone has their own tastes in a game, so..if someone says that DOMO is da shit, another will say DOMO is shit. You get the idea~

5. Come back to the forums and discuss how easy it was to develop your own opinion on something using the available information.

I'd say from what I've played DOMO and Pi Story have potential. And as for what I've seen upcomming maybe Punch Monster and Dragon Nest. Then again it's all about what you are looking for. Some people are completely happy with Maplestory, RF or Gunz even though there are new games comming out in that category.

if you don't mind graphics and are huge on customization Shadowbane hands down(i don't see why people say it has a bad interface and controls i have no issues with them)

In my opinion.. DOMO. Flying is neat (even tho it isnt original anymore), even grinding is fun, its the first game where I can farm mushrooms (lol), other trade skills are fun too... Overall it pwns.

they totaly copyed the flying on sword thing from PerfectWorld! It looks just 1000 times bette in PW when human fly on swords.

Try getting into DOMO closed beta. I could sit here and tell you all the reasons it is really the sleeper hit MMO for this year (and many other years). This game really won't have competition till end of the year when other MMO's start fluctuating out (Aion, wakfu, warhammer, wings of the goddess expanson, ambition of the illuminus expansion, etc etc).

If you want to try my most wanted MMO to turned into english and don't mind Japanese. (There's an english guild in game to help you out if you find them) Go play Imagine Online. It's the Shin Megami Tensei RPG games MMO. Very unique. I love the art style. Music is superb if you are into game music. Storyline. Bosses. Demons you can breed. katana weapons, guns, and anime esque clothing. :) Fun, fun stuff.

If you want a DOMO synopsis let me know and I'd be more than happy to reply about my experience in closed beta. Don't worry I have good and bad things to say so I'll just give you the facts.

Yea tat's right calm down every1, no need to flame. Every1 got their own taste; some of them same and some not. Animeish or Realistic, 2D or 3D, Super Deformed or Real, Graphic or Gameplay, everygame got their own pros and cons; Just choose the best type of games we like then done.

I'm not really sure why people bother arguing over these things. As was stated, some people prefer 2D while others prefer 3D. As far as stealing ideas goes, one could argue that every game that you ever killed a slime in copies Dragon Warrior, every RPG with a party system copies Final Fantasy, every mage in any game, movie, or book is a copy of Gandalf and Merlin, who in turn are copies of wizards before them. It's really pointless, everything borrows from everything else to some extent. The difference is in what it borrows and how it is implemented. Therefore no two games are exact duplicates and therefore trying to change someone's opinion of a game by insulting both them and their current favorite game is absolutely pointless since they obvious like their game for a reason. If you really want to change someone's mind, don't insult other games, instead give reasons for why you consider your favorite game the best; you may list something about it that others didn't realize it had, they'll try it, and they may actually switch to it... or not since what one person loves another may hate, but that doesn't matter because the whole point of this thread is to inform and convince the OP.

As of now I still consider Granado Espada as one of the better games out there. Sure there's grind, but it provides enough action and fun to compensate, and once you get into rNPC quests you'll be pretty addicted to own them all. I just think it just brings a different look to the whole MMORPG scene. It's not total fantasy nor is it total sci-fi, it's more of a mix of historic fantasy.

I'm looking forward to playing Mabinogi and Seal Online though =) Punch Monster seems to be more faster pace then the rest so here's hoping

Sorry I disagree in regards to the "free" statement you made.
Because, a game is "free" does, by no means, make it inferior
All games have a similar relevance to each other, that's what makes them a game.
because a game is made "free" does not imply it to poor, or weak, in any form or make it average.
All games out there are superior to the fact, that, they are made for your pleasure and pain.
The hard work that goes into game development is hard, long hours and serious.
I take a great deal of this into account, in consideration, as I play all these games, whether free, or on occasions, buy one.
I study the graphics, the gameplay, the maps environments, everything.

For you to appreciate this, you may have look at gaming differently, understand the art of gaming in itself, not just a basic view.

Just my view on gaming, not a stab. ;D
