I have a 360 at the moment and i have bout 5 hundred $$$$ to buy parts for a pc what would be better to buy atm pc or PS3

Sell ya 360. Buy an 8800 for ya PC, Upgrade its CPU and RAM. Get Utorrent >> you'll have every game you had on your 360 and more.

To be honest, I would say PC. There really isn't anything right now that makes anyone want to buy a PS3 now. But a PC has infinite uses. So go upgrade your PC. :p

Get yourself a PC. They pretty much trounce all consoles since they have the potential to be true multimedia juggernauts depending on how you deck them out.

Platform games are enjoyable to everyone, but when you have one of the most potential devices to be the most powerful electronic at your disposal, in my opinion you could be using a computer instead. At least from what I heard a computer can be more powerful than any system released out there when upgraded properly.

An idle computer uses far less power than a computer in use.



Anyway, upgrade your PC. You'll get a better bang for your buck if you go with your PC

I'd say PC for short-term, but PS3 for longterm.
As it stands, there won't be any (by my standards) AAA titles for the PS3, for quite a while.

PC, on the other hand, will allow you to play the majority of good games that'll make their way to the 360. You can get one right now, and enjoy Overlord and Bioshock, which are pretty amazing games.

Then, there's also the fact that, as a gamer, you'll probably spend the majority of your time playing MMORPGs... because, offline games are finite. If you plan to play games like Warhammer Online, as I do, I'd get a good PC. You won't regret it, when you're able to run all the upcoming MMORPGs at a solid 60fps.

Get a 1337bbq pc.

Buy Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Bioshock.

You're all set for at least a few months of joy. :D

Mmorpgs you're playing with people, but it's not the same experience as playing co-op or something with someone next to you.

He has $500 for either, if he used it on a PC, he'd probably have to get more upgrades later down the road anyways.

That would make sense, if a $500 PC could last you all the way until, and through the lifecycle of a PS4.
FIrstly, a PS3 and PS4 will cost you less, and last longer than a PC.

Secondly, you completely misinterpreted what I said. The intent was to express that good games will be coming out for the PS3 in hails, in a couple of years, whereas, for the PC, you're able to get great games, right this instant.

That means that the PS3 released more AAA exclusive games in less than half of the time than the 360, that seems hardly like a slow roll in of games.
