I want to go to a private school, since my regular public school kinda sucks.
What is it like in a private school? Any different from public schools beside paying and wearing uniforms?

If you're planning on join one, at least find one that has a reputation of good professors and demanding teaching.
Might be hard, but it's worthwhile.

If the private school has a good background for excellence, why not.

So what if it does have a background of exellence doesnt mean its good.
Btw private schools have to pray to god[jesus]

that...is also true, but not all private schools pray to god, just look at Standford university, or Alemany High school

I just want to go to a private school, to avoid a type of people. ( I don't want to talk too much about it)

Also, is there any private school that is less than 12,000 a year? I want a school that can teach and also have the record of the LEAST suspensions.

I wouldn't advise going to a private school for that reason..private school isn't cheap you know, it could make you bankrupt

Private schools are just uniforms, strict rules, and quiet hallways/classrooms.

Public schools are better.

I know this is not a economic issue but I want to mention this.
Statistics, have proven that Private schools are superior to Public in many way.
1. Less fights
2. Less suspensions or expulsion
3. Students that want to learn.
4. Better grade results
5. Better dress
6. Less bullying
7. Kids that use proper words in a sentences.. not like ( " Man that shit is so old, nigga.)
8. Religious reasons has better affect and tolerance.

Ever been to a private school? Cause mine sure as hell ain't quiet. People are always doing shit in the hallways and disrupting class. We raced down the hall with our computer chairs today during last period. We don't have uniforms either really, but we always got to wear a collared shirt and jeans. No shorts allowed. The rules are more strict but they don't really get enforced. Classes are way easier here too. I went from failing everything in public schools to all B's and C's. We go to chappel which is basically like church every wednesday morning, but everyone just talks to eachother the whole time we don't really have to listen or anything. We also get out earlier than all of the public schools in my area. The only sucky things about it is they force you to take some classes like speech and either band or chorus and the crappy dress code. Oh and I forgot to mention they are really strict as far as hair goes. If it gets too long they make you get a haircut which is probably like the worst rule they have.

That's only because of the constant repression that so happens in those schools. They can hardly breath without anyone knowing. The better results happen as well sometimes not because of better teaching, but easier teaching. But if you so want to study in such environment, who am I to stop you?

I do wish you the best of luck.

Hmm, I will take that into consideration. But I heard a lot of private schools have strict tolerances and rules?

What do you mean by tolerances? As far as rules go they aren't really different from public school rules around here but the teachers are way more uptight about it. Like if you cuss expect a suspension at a private school like mine but in a public school half of the teachers don't really care. They also try to push the Bible down your throat here, if your not a christian it gets really annoying.

Don't really scare though. Religious schools often have the brightest students all around.

And you don't really expect racism to happen at a Private school.

Unless you're going to a private school because of it's religious affiliation, then I strongly suggest look into college accredited schools, also known as college prep. schools. They're the cream of the crop of private schools, offering educations above and beyond that of public schools and inspected yearly in order to ensure that they meet the standards that allow them to that title.

what is the reason make you really want to go into private school anyway?

i mean i have been in both private/public school, the only difference i can see is the people background, not the student/teacher quality.

and i doesnt really like some of the wealthy kid in my old private school who keep whining his dad got him the brand new things things and stuff...... but that doesnt really much difference..

if you look at the finical point of view, i will say public school does seem to offer the best value since its free... (or maybe some fee? doesnt really know about other public school)

Can't get opinions that are more honest than ours, we tell it how it is, and you we're unique, what we're on? you can't smoke it, you can't sniff it, because we were born with it.

On Topic:
I've been in a private school all my life, all through elementary the dress code was strict, we didn't have to do anything religious because down here in Mexico church and school are separated. But now that I'm in high school I'm in a different private school, a lot higher grade of education, the students here are generally drunks that are willing to learn and there are uniforms, but we are allowed to wear sandals and have our hair whichever style we want.
If you're going to enroll in a public school the best thing to do first is consider you options, because not all of them are actually good.

Since information on the whole debate on Private vs. Public schools can be found rather easily through the many sources out there,
I'll just tell you my personal story behind the private school scene. Read on!

The Backstory-

I generally consider myself a rather average intelligent man, even in my toddler days, however the IQ test said otherwise and my actions during those times till I was atleast 11ish reallly put those two into conflict.
Anyways,my parents put a huge importance on education and since most of my siblings are in the same IQ boat as myself, they decided to ship me (and my older bro and youngest sis) off to private school. I started Grade 4, my oldest bro Grade 7, and my sis Grade 2 or 3 I think.
FYI the facts arent 100% correct...as I really dont want to flip through that yearbook. *shudder*

The Juicybits-

A-Private School (A is the first letter of the name of the school, duh) was pretty damn strict. Think military bootcamp for citizens meets higher education. Uniforms, strict classroom rules, the whole 8 miles.
I had, everyday, 4-5 hours of homework. Even at my speed I still had to work on the subjects which I couldnt finish in classes before that class.
My classmates also had that as well...either they were lazy or it was really that much homework. To this day, I still cant say for sure. My mindset was to learn and whatnot, not to socialize. My bro and sis were in the same boat (go figure), but alteast my sis got through her work rather easy.

My teachers really cared about teaching. Especially since they made less than the salary public school moron teachers. They honestly went above and beyond the call of teaching, be it kicking your *** out for even a glance at
your buddies test, (DAMN YOU MR.BUSH) or actually forcing your sorry *** out of recess so you can learn the material.
Great teachers, I even had a 75year old (most likely feminazi/sexist) english teacher.
She hated me...yet loved my oldest bro. O_o
I tell myself she liked me...on some level. The social awkwardness I bet.

Option courses were pretty much nonexistent. Art and French. Liked
Art, made a french teacher quit. I was legend of awhile cuz of that.
Lastly, since the school was pretty small and the application process hard, not much new people came into my grade. In fact, I was one of the 2 newbies for my class out of the rest (15-18?) who had school together since K or G-1. Very...very awkward.
G-5 saw 3 new people and G-6 had 1 newb come in.
Pretty much my class during those years sorta became my pseudo-2nd family of horny guys and strict girls.
The gender split was 1 guy to 2-3 girls, depending on the grade I was in.
But I have to add...the girls who I shared my classes with, are and still some of hottest girls I have ever laid my eyes on.
Near-perfect examples of the winners of the female genetic lottery. Must have been the uniforms in retropect haha.
Havent scene any one of them since I left in G-6. Ran into 3 of my old male classmates (social awkwardness here), yet none of them.
Heard they all went into the rather higher placement public schools, I one the other hand, went to a super option courses school.

*edit* My classmates were actually very nice people, sure I never really hung out with them or made some lasting friendships during
my time there Damn social awkwardness! But none the less, great people. I often find myself wondering what they have been up too,
who whored out, hotted up, and plain just made something of themselves. I know I didnt :P.
For the lulz...DDR was the hottest shit on the town and schools during this time (and Pokemans).
Shit Pogs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pogs) were 120% better than those I say! /half sarcasm
Ironically, I would never set foot on these machines till Grade 10.

All in all, I am very happy that I went to private school during those years (G-4 to G-6) and that pretty much made me a multiple choice destroying educational monster. But that would sorta backfire on me, which I'll go into.

Aftermath-

After those 3 years of hardcore homework and studying, I finally in, Gr.7, went back into the public school system. 2 words-System Shock.
Not only did I run into kids I once knew in my K-3 years...I learnt they were still just as they were before. Apparently I had changed alot I was told. I doubt that heavily. A heavy dosage of my social awkward still followed me here as well.

At any rate, I saw how lax the system was and since I knew how it really worked...I was facking exploited it to the max. Doing 1/4 the homework and destroying important projects/etc, my marks hovered around the 60-75% range. I wasnt even busting my ***. It was just straight up slacking my *** off. It was awesome. EVERY teacher I had noticed this. And it pissed them the hell off for 2 reasons.
#1-Waste of talent on my half and
#2- Facking the system through that mark loophole.

Highschool, would be a beeze. It just made the mark loophole even larger and hence, just as easy to mend and fold to my slacker standards. Nothing says in your face more than a 50% classmark and getting 90% on the final semester test than that. XD
They need to make more comfy desks for waste of talents like myself in highschool. My social awkwardness starts to lose its grip on me
as well once I started HS as well. (Hooray!)

So, go private school IF YOU ARE 100% about going into it. Just be prepared for the shit storm of hardcore education, and hopefully hot women, and maybe the System Shock you may possibly once you go back to public. /story over /opinion stated.

Private Schools are a pathetic excuse to get people to pay for supposedely better education. Only the gullable, ignorant or famous bother with these pointless establishments.

I have to wear a uniform, and I go to a public School.

No public school is the same...

No private school is the same...

I go to a private school, I've gone to 3 (due to the fact that I changed city every 4-5 years) and I've liked all of them, obviously there was a better school and a worst school.

It just depends and at the end of the day it's not the figures that count, it's the people that go to the school...so you'll never know if you'll like it until the very end.

There's idiots in my public school yes. 1. They don't bother me
2. I don't wanna leave since I have a lot of friends and good teachers
3.If the idiots decide to bully me I will or my 20 friends behind me will kick there ***.

Problem solved.

Why do you want to go to private? Tell us. If its because of bullies then just go to an adult. Or,If you want to beat the living crap out of them. Get in shape. Learn how to fight and m0ar biceps. Go kick there asses. Don't run away from your problems.

Statistics, have proven that Private schools are superior to Public in many way.
1. Less fights. Because snotty faggots in private schools pay their butlers to fight for them.
2. Less suspensions or expulsion. Bribes.
3. Students that want to learn. Now this is very retarded. What's to say people in public schools don't want to learn? Not all of us can pay for a school that really doesn't do much but seperate the poor from the rich.
4. Better grade results. **** YOU.
5. Better dress. Yeah, if you think somone wearing a suit is better than a slut wearing a short skirt.(CATHOLIC SCHOOL ARE THE EXCEPTION...**** YEAH.)
6. Less bullying. Not true. My cousin is in private school, and still gets bullied. Problem is the kids that go there haven't dealt with kids in public schools.
7. Kids that use proper words in a sentences.. not like ( " Man that shit is so old, nigga.) Again, **** YOU.
8. Religious reasons has better affect and tolerance. LOL.

Because we all say "nigga" in public school.
