Too Bad, AMD Still Planning For Tri-Cores -> 2008, Quad-Cores -> Present - 2008, And Octal-Cores -> 2008.
Waha3s!.

Although "A company called ClearSpeed has put 96 cores (http://www.news.com/Designer+puts+96+cores+on+single+chip/2100-1006_3-5399128.html) on a single chip. ClearSpeed's chips are used as co-processors with supercomputers that require a powerful chip for a very specific purpose."

Intel's 'V8' Systems Uses Two Mother Boards That Supports And Holds The Quad-Cores...
I Wonder How Big Is 80-Cores Mother Board? :3

Intel teraflop chip on board

This is how Intel demonstrated the chip for reporters. Several power supplies were required, and Intel also needed to build a special motherboard. Engineers showed how Intel can obtain different levels of performance by tweaking the chips' clock speed and voltage supply while running an application that solved complex mathematical equations.

Completely useless to general market for years upon years to come.
We have just reached Quad core for the desktop market, and the desktop market software is still just beginning to support dual core.

But, this chip is nothing special. There are setups with hundreds and hundreds of cores in one system. They are super computers, systems that are only used for scientific studies.

Also, Microsoft is going to have to really change their software, because the server version of windows will only support up to 8 cores, the Pro version of XP(and the higher-end versions of vista) supports 4. XP home(and the lower end vista versions) only support 2.

Just As I Thought, Sir Fab Will Bump In Here!
Yay!.XDXDXD

Though I Agree In Some Points, Specially Here:

In Case Intel Have This For A "Personal" Use Like In Homes And Small Offices, I Guess It's Too Waaaayyyy SUPER!.

Actually The V8 System Is Using 2 MotherBoards (Mentioned In Apple Mac Pro).
By Any Chance, Does This Mean We Could Also Have X4 Dual SLI NVIDIA Graphics Card?
Haha! Insttead Of Quad SLI, You Will Have An Octal SLI...:(
