first see if shes even interested, then ask your friend if she is. and make sure they're broken up and not still calling each other and hooking up. i was int his situation before and i asked my friend first and he was PISSED about it then was pissed at her thinking that she was already hooking up with me. turns out she wasnt interested and they were still hooking up....
