Agreed. Ridiculously expensive game to play. Although the mechanics of leveling and play are great, the world lacks story and/or content. If historical content, factions, or quest systems were added, it would make for a great MMO and I would still be playing it.

Hell, I already had problems running it in cities, like after that patch I wont be able to even start it... I wont miss much though, it was kinda fun still run around blasting.

Short one - Subscribe some $$$

Long one.. Go and gather some sweat on mobs... each sweat was worth 0,5 pec (you were getting like 1-30 sweat for gathering from mobs... not always successful, though). You can also go on 3rd pvp area (I think it was 3rd) and try to catch Oil barrel at Oil Rig (usually worth 15 (1,5$) ped each), look out on Atroxs and other mobs...and ofcourse player killers.

Wow.so much time of my life was wasted sweating mobs back in the day. Sometimes people will say they will give you some money if you agro some animals for them to shoot at. and then after they say, NOT! I agree with punkerdan85 It was cool running around finding all the neat outposts but with no story it wasnt that great. And the amount of begging that goes on in that game is enough to make anyone go crazy...

I was so psycked when I foudn this game and how it ran so good on my old comp than when I found out they were switcihing to the crysis engine I said screw it

If they scrapped the Real Economy system and just went for P2P it would be the best mmorpg that exists at the moment and I would get it, but I know thats not gonna happen because they are making lots of money from it.

actually those who say you cant make it without putting in at least 10 USD, i must admit you're fools. Maybe because you people never chat with other people and develop friendships with them? Or maybe even get them to mentor for you? Well thats how i got free weapons and ammunition etc.

Also, Society (clan thing), it helps alot while selling sth (for higher price) or buying (for lower price), especially for newbies.

"Pro" players usually have many many PEDs (cash), and they don't mind about paying 1-2 ped more than normal to a clan mate.

yes thats true, i remember my mentor used to buy sweat from me at 1-2ped per bottle, which is imo a very very good deal. Cause they were selling at 0.9 at that time if im not mistaken. Also free gun and a loads of ammunition for me to train my shooting skill with lol, too bad i stopped playing cause of lag and slow loading of everything

its slowly been built for the corporate guys who have nothing but office spare time. its slowly gone successful because of the stupid idol idiots,
these people play games like second life etc. etc
they live boring life's and don't even understand gameplay and why a mmo is what it is.
The game has very very bad support. they don't give a dam.
The times i messaged them about lag and drop outs with the fact that its costing me ped loss to repair a drone of my char running round the game and clashing with npc and dying without me even being there. They have a minute or more before your allowed to log back on by that time your dead and out of ped.
if you think you want to withdraw from the game with your new found cash back into your account these are there rules.
100 ped goes to them for each transaction
minimum of 1000 ped allowed to be withdrawn. (put back into your account.)
there's tax, they get full money payment when you buy armor guns whatever,
MINDARK are in control! major. they don't give you nothing. they Take! and take and take and keep taking.
its a suckers game. Office boys love it, cause they make money by doing nothing anyway. so they go for all these lame games.

We on the other hand play them to see how they play and whether they have anything to give in the world of mmo. SO please don't think this is a good game.

I like Sci-fiction MMO simulations, and this is one of them.

If you want to have a fashion show in-game... then go on it, I prefer Hunting mobs, minning, etc etc....
You have many things to do in this game... starting from FPS thing, going through best crafting system currently avaible on market, ending at life simulation...

If you don't like it , its your buisness, You can't force people to think its a bad game...
This game needs time, and no... you dont have to pay anything, so MA gives you also sth for free (If you dont pay), also ... if You know how to survive in economic world... then you wouldn't lose so much... !

This game requires alot of patience, but, I'll tell you now, You can make a living off of it, you honestly can.

i actually paid 10 bucks and got quite rich i n that game. i hunted with my rile and i had a scope and a amp and also i hit a jackpot when i mined once

Im happy thats its stepping into better graphics although I didnt see anything wrong with the gfx it allready had specialy since now it wont run smoothly on my comp. But the money thing isnt at bad as people think after about a week of raising your sweating the money starts to come in a bit faster and with a with a little work you wont need to pay a dime on this game.

Collecting sweat is the only way to actually MAKE money without having any.
Basically you attack animals with a skill that does no damage, but has a 10-20% chance of giving you 10-20 sweatbottles. Get 1000 of 'em, and you can sell them for a handful of PED.

Sad thing is, if you really want to start MAKING money in this game without resorting to sweating, you'll be needing around 100 PED to start out.

My tips...
Don't do same as this person in the video, find a Sweat Farm (new sweat farm, after update (wich added higher Sweat value + only 3 successful sweat gather from 1 mob), was moved near first city (PA - Port Atlantis is the first city, right ?), just move on North pass the river, go to the forrest, you will see some nice field with mobs and many people running around. If you are chased by a mob just run to outpost (why? To shot down the mob, turret will do it. Also if mob is already "DRY" - no sweat anymore - run there too) wich is about 100-300 meters away from sweat gathering zone.


Other way to gain cash (very risky and 99% time wasting machine).
Go on South East province, there is a desert with PvP zone. In middle of it, there is a oil rig. Every 15 minutes 1 oil barrel (it contains about 15k of oil - 1 oil = 1 pec , 100 pec = 1 ped) spawns there.

Other way (it shouldn't be your main way to gain cash !!!!!). Collect fruits, vegetables lying on ground, you can sell them to players for some cash ( pretty nice boost)... But its very rare and you have to look careful on ground... cuz it spawn so near you, and while running it will mostly spawn behind your view.
