WoW players,
do not complain about the monthly payment that u have to make. blizzard made this for one reason. World of Warcraft has over 5 million players JUST in the United States. it costs 15 dollars a month to pay. so do 5 million times 15 and you get 75 million dollars A MONTH, in ONE country, and WoW is global. just don't complain, if u owned blizzard u wud b a pretty happy person.

lol. I guess no people will complain at all if they are crazy to play this game. They will play and play no matter how much it will costs to them as long as they've enjoyed what they are doing.

Yeah... to be completely honest, if you think the payment is there simply for a great profit, you're a moron.

Unlike one time paying games that you would normally buy, WoW changes all the time, always being checked for glitches, always having something fixed (*cough* apparently) and always being updated to keep the experience fresh and exciting. The monthly fee is there to fund the servers, the people who maintain them, and the rest of the workforce who works on the game.

You're right though, a few people have said to me: "WoW suck cos you have to pay for it..."

platinum....i just gotta say thats kinda stupid. people pay for this game because its one of the best, and also your basically paying for a xbox360 which costs a whole shit load. Complain all you want but just think about that, you can work about all day and get over 50+ and yeah not just 50 over meaning anything over 50, and you use 15 bucks to have a play time of a month, thats not so hard to do work a day play a month. so theres no reason why people actually complain........its like telling a little kid to not get a xbox360 and games with it because your wasting money.

They make $75 mill in one month just from the US, it must be atleast double that if you count all the other players/countries.

Why do people have to be so annoying. First of all please stop fighting and go somewhere else if you going to be mean,word abusive,etc. And second im 12 years old I play WoW "Don't make fun of my age" and I use decent words for my age why do people have to assume kids don't know anything!?

Also, there are only 5 million people WORLD WIDE I believe that have accounts that are being payed for.
Also, I'm wondering when you became such genius on what expenses for a videogame (let alone a MMORPG). It seems that you know everything there is about the subject and you don't have any proof to back it up.

No one SHOULD be complaining... but I am. I bought the game a few months ago with a gamecard. I spent $80, and now I'm broke. You have to A use a gamecard to activate your account, or a credit card. I couldn't use a credit card cuz I don't have one (I'm 16) and my parents wouldn't let me use theirs, so, it's with the gamecard. It was an INCREDIBLE GAME! But on the 20th day, my computer got so slow, it lagged so bad, the only thing I could do on it was talk... and it took 30 minutes for me to type one sentence, so I quit playing. But I thought about something, my computer might get fixed one day (it did), and I'd be using all the 60 days I had on the gamecard unless I took it off. So I went to go to my gamecard selection... and couldn't take it off :'( I was unable to get my 60 days, I paid for 3 months... and didn't even get 1. So yeah I kinda hate the monthly fee for it. By the way if anyone could get me 10 days or any days that would be awsome.

I agree on both sides of this argument. It does indeed cost alot of money to upkeep an MMORPG. I know. I've tried. But, I think 15$ a month is a bit much. If it were less, say, 5-10$ a month, I would go out and buy they game without much thought. But, before I do, I want to know 2 things. Is the price TRUELY worth the gameplay experience, and do you need a dvd drive to run it like the demo...
