Public school. It's a real joke. They don't really care if you are learning or not, as long as they continue to get money from the government and keep the test scores up. They'd rather give you processed information and have you memorize stupid meaningless facts then actually comprehend the subject at hand.

I'm agreeing with this whole heardtly Public school is horrible it seems(in mine at least) that homework is the biggest part of the grade im FAILING two classes cause i havn't turned in two homework assignments. Tests? screw that i know people in my spanish class that bombed most of their tests and still passed yet i get a's/b's on tests and fail cause of homework. Its really quite infuriating.
Plus it seems that in highschool unfair gets its own set of rules
My table was taken over by juniors(im a sophmore,10th grade) and no one did anything about it.
Its just lame.

There ARE quite a number of useful things we get out of school, but they can never make up for the fact that they butcher our free time and social lives with monotonous amounts of work that we will most likely never use in a line of work or anywhere in life for that matter.

as for high school, what i've "learned" over the past 6 years in high school has actually helped me progress with 5% in my current studies (sinology) ...
high school is a "invaluable waste of time" because it's obligated by the government to study untill you're 18.
All of those things you see in mathetatics are mostly useless and do not have real life applications using them at all ...
