Looking for a f2p MMO with a large player population and alot of custumization...i.e. looking unique and not like everyone else.

I don't care if it's 3d or 2d but if 2d I prefer the diagonal overhead view that sort of imitates 3d over the mario style one, if that makes any sence.

I only like mmos in the midevil era or anything similar, or if it involes alot of hand to hand with swords, maces, spears etc, also archers and maybe some wizards on the side is alright, but hand to hand is where it's at.

I want an english one, no mmos where I need to install translation patches please.

There is the english version of perfect world (closed beta, it isn't really closed but there will be a char wipe when it ends [the 12th of October?]) that is out.

-It has outstanding character customiziation
-It has a large player base
-It is swords / magic etc

The server is located in Malaysia so the ping is pretty rough though.

After the closed beta a wipe will commence then 1 week then open beta opens then after open beta no wipe then true game.

The problem for me with perfect world is I hear there aren't any 2 handed weapons, which is what I always use in mmos.

who told u that? there glaives or do u mean dual wield cuz they have those to.

Not duel weild, thats holding 2 one handed weapons. I'm talking about huge swords, battle hammers, etc. Are there alot of glaives in perfect world, or is it kind of a rare weapon...plus does it have practical use or just for show?

well if u dont mind 2d theres ultima online. its like living a midevil life. very customisable things more depth into its stuff then any mmorpg out so far. lots of melee wepons and lots of magery spells. spell book has 68 spells not counting necromany spells or paladin.they have war hammers,halberds,lots other huge type double hand wepons. they do alot of dmg some will knock peoples intelegence in half or other things.use uogateway for servers. its free.lots people play top servers.its over head veiw and pretty fast paced. and every animals u see is tameable and u can train them up to.

Are you sure it's free, everything I'm looking at on the website is talking about subscription fees and purchasing a code...is there any way around this? A way to get the code for free? I esspecially don't want to pay 1 cent for an old 2d mmo.

Also, do the uogateway servers have a smaller population and not many active people or is it still good? I do not like playing mmos alone.

oh lots people still play on uogateway. by playing on uogateway u wont have to pay for uo. and there is still lots of people playing it. im sure ull get some lag in britian from all the players.on few uogateway servers.just download uo dont update it and get uogateway.

Try 2moons its a beautiful game but no customization at all O_O but anyway go google it the Azure knights can duel wield swords or axes and there are large two handed weapons like great swords and great axes give it a try
