Drift City is an pretty kool online car game, that is also an rpg game..
Trackmania Nations, probably the coolest free online racing game

Real Trackmania Nations is a really good free car games, Great graphs its a must try man

Forza Motorsport 2 for Xbox 360. Will cost you about... $500-$600 for the console, game, and network stuff. Than you need Xbox Live Gold.... So yeah.

I know you said Free... But nothing beats it, sorry.

Free Sims are quite rare, Live For Speed used to be. But it's about 20 bucks now. There might be Team Revoluxion, if it's still up.

Project Torque works pretty good as a sim. The number of cars in it now suck, but they have licenses with many car companies now and you'll see the choices expand in the next update I think.

The best car game i would have to say is drift city. The graphics are kind of cartoony. Its like a 3d object with outlines. The game consists of 3 citys. Moon Palace, Something thats hard to spell, and Cras. Each one is huge. You get to upgrade ur car with parts u find, or buy (check out the auction house for cheap parts). You dont level up just from doing races. You also take out HUVs (High-Tech unmanned vehicles). You can even take them out in a party with others. There are also missions. They are the way to go. At the start, there are lots of missions you can do, but later on, you can only do 2 per lvl. You get missions from going to the gas station. There are 4 gas stations per city, you move onto the nect one after you have completed all of your missions, and reach the right level. At the stations, you can either do a mission, a delivery (mostly for money), enter the driver dome (where you buy stuff), or fill up with mittron (fuel). Its a good game, and you level up fast. Whatever you do, don't buy the wheels, and the yellow nitro when you do missions that give alot of money. It's a waste. For almost all of the cars, you need a coupon (you either have to earn it by doing an insane amount of something, or buy it from other players (costs the same amount as the car its self)).
