Hey all...I was just wondering...What is the best Horde race for a hunter? I hear from many that it is Troll...But I'm unsure. Anyone willing to help out? Thanks. :)

There is no Best rest its all a matter of opinion. But in my mind its tauren.

I would say Orc becuase of the + to pets

Tauren are the worst hunters, they get no increases to the things Hunter uses.

Orc = +Damage with Pets
Troll = +Damage with Bows.

Yes, as the above poster said, Orc and Troll increases your Hunter performance. Tauren for the war stomp. I would go for which ever, because they all are good.

Depends if you intend on PvP at level 60 go Tauren so you can get out of close combat faster, and if your smart you'll get Herb + Alch so you can use pots.

orc is the best for 2 reasons, their racial abilities give them stronger pets and they have increased axe performance (which is usually a hunters melee wep.). if u want to go marksmanship instead of beast training, go troll for the bow increase

Many prefer orc hunters because pets and axes are better. Others prefer trolls because their ranged wep is better. If u wanna hit for 2k+ with aimed shot go for trolls. if u wanna bug a caster while owning a warrior at the same time go for orc.

well it really depends on what you're planning on doing with your hunter PvP or PvE, imo it really does matter which one you choose. in PvE as a hunter you won't be getting hit "that" with moves like feign death and such so you wont need as much hp/stam but you'd want more agi/int so let's take a quick look at the starting stats for the 3 Horde hunter races.

now every point of agi = 2 ranged attack power and we can see the troll has the most with 25, now agi is important for all hunters in PvE and PvP though most would argue that hunters melee alot more in PvP so Str is important as well as every 1 str = 1 or 2 ap it's been a while since iv'e been on my hunter so i can't quite remember >> but the tauren does have the most =ing more versatility in the PvP battlegrounds now the other important stats would be Hp/stam for pvp survivability(tauren)and mana/int for more special shots (more important in PvE imo) which the orc has the most of (by a bit) now since right now it looks like the tauren is the pvp hunter choice and the orc and troll are tied in PvE (i guess :P) let's look at the 3 races major racial abilities

Tauren: Warstomp. Activate to stun up to 5 opponents within 8 yards lasts 2 seconds 2 minute cooldown - omg i love this ability in PvP stunning someone and then running away real fast /cackle uhh... *cough* anyway it's not the most useful ability in PvE as most monsters cannot be stunned at end-game

Endurance. Max Health increased by 5% nice little boost to the taurens already large health pool ^^

Troll:Berserking. Increases your attack speed by 10% to 30%. At full health the speed increase is 10% with a greater effect up to 30% if you are badly hurt when you activate Berserking. Lasts 10 sec. badly hurt being 30% and under hp.. i think can't quite remember anyways great PvE boost not quite as good in PvP cause alot of the time you gotta run around alot

Bow Specialization. +5 to Bow Weapon Skills basically increases your chance to hit monsters higher level than you for more damage great in end games raids where almost everything is higher than you

Orc:Blood Fury. Increases base melee attack power by 25% for 15 sec and reduces healing effects on you 50% for 25 sec. not good at all in PvE i get healed for less!!... yay? but okay for melee fights in PvP

Hardiness. 25% resistance to stun and knockout effects. 25% on top of what everyone already resists.... playing a rogue i can't tell you how many times an orc has resisted my stuns this is a "great" PvP ability

Command. Pet melee damage increased by 5%. not a bad little boost not the most amazing thing in PvE cause you wont have ur pet out much but a nice little boost in PvP

-VERDICT-
After reviewing all the horde hunters "IMO" (not everyone is going to agree with me so shush with the flames plz mages :( ) the Tauren is the best PvP horde hunter because of it's extra HP and survivability and that stun just adds to the survivability :P and the Troll would be the best horde PvE Hunter with the extra agi, bow bonus and Berserking.
now to all of you who are saying stuff like "what about the orc?" i have this to say to you i play a gnome rogue gnomes being the worst considered rogues out there people play what you want i'm just telling you what the best race is i'm not telling you to play it so go forth young hunter and pwn with whatever you choose to play ^^
