Korn is in the same genre as Linkin Park, so I'd check them out too. I'm a DnB person, so I can't really make suggestions on techno/trance. There's a lot more I listen to, but I'm not good at suggesting stuff to people.

Harvest isn't a metal song, even if it's by Opeth (no death vox and Akerfeldt plays the acoustic guitar). Learning to Live is admittedly metal, but it's not heavy by modern standards (I wouldn't post something from Train of Thought or Systematic Chaos, for instance), and James Labrie's voice isn't your standard heavy metal voice. I figure if he liked the Nightwish track, he wouldn't mind this. Admittedly I'm somewhat biased because it's probably my favourite song ever, but still.

I don't know why people are posting stuff like Goatwhore, Mundvayne, etc. though, who are almost death metal in their vocal styles.
