:( I have been playing Exteel for a couple of days and I have found absolutely no way to get a 2:1 k/d ratio, let alone a 4:1 kill ratio that I have been seeing from better players. I don't get higher than a 1:1 on average. I don't suck at first/third person shooters in general (hence why I'm worried I somehow forgot something in this case).

Here are my questions, even if one is answered I'll be thankful.

1.) jumping and shooting whilst in the air was complained as a "cheap" tactic but it seems just as effective as boosting on the ground and remaining in combat. Is the jumping method used often by skilled players? (I know some of you are around)

2.) I heard of builds I am assuming this is just various body parts put together to form an effective mech? If so could someone name one or two? If it doesn't go by the definition described above please explain.

3.) The weaponry confuses me a lot. Which are your preferred weapons and what are the pros/cons of them? So far I have been relying on a pair of SMG's and a SMG/sword combo as rifles and cannons lock range, and rate of fire make it hard to get a hit in the crowded fights.

4.) Is there a priority of things to get? An example would be you get a certain pair of arms before getting anything else for the cooldown rate.

Thank you in advanced.

Thats because Exteel doesn't require skill. The winer is always the person with the best gear.

Yes it is. Anyone who would call you cheap for that is a noob.

I'm not sure if Exteel has it's own forums for not but that would be the best place as any to find some. I haven't heard anything about builds myself.

I use dual rifles and dual SMGs. Both seem to do shit damage and overheat by default.

Not sure but I would try and get some good weapons before anything else.

ya jumping around and shooting is used by alot of good players, its not cheap, its just part of the game

builds are the stats, hp+,sp+,en+,speed+,aim+

3.) The weaponry confuses me a lot. Which are your preferred weapons and what are the pros/cons of them? So far I have been relying on a pair of SMG's and a SMG/sword combo as rifles and cannons lock range, and rate of fire make it hard to get a hit in the crowded fights.

this depends on play style.

shotguns - needs to be reworked

SMGS- scrub guns, u cant miss with these, do alot of dmg, need to be toned down a bit (light, you dont lose much speed when equiped) large reticle

Rifles- really good mid range weapons, good if u dont like being in the middle of the fight and just stick around the walls and shoot and hope you get kills(medium sized, can make you pretty slow if u have 2) medium sized reticle

Cannons- sniper rifles with insane dmg? (slow movement speed) small reticle

rockets - good old rockets, no need to lock on, use this as you would be playing a real fps (slow movement) no aiming reticle

swords - godly if u know how to use them
spears - slower then swords , has quicker overheat , a bit more dmg

4.) Is there a priority of things to get? An example would be you get a certain pair of arms before getting anything else for the cooldown rate.

look at the stats in item info

personally I play rifle / sword combo, its sick, I just jump dive with sword and just keep on their asses ( this gets VERY frustrating for the person your doing this on). What you do is jump then click attack with sword (this attack slows the mech ur attacking down) and you can keep doing it over and over as long as they dont hit you. If they get away , my rifle finishes them off

Buys various parts does effect overall stats for your mech. I can tell you which parts to buy if you tell me which type of mech you want. For weapons, depends on what build your going to use. Stats are the same thing as weapons, depends on what type of mech your building.

Heh thanks for the help everyone! :D

To xSoulEx I would like a fast close combat mech. If possible I'd like to have a nice amount of boost time. I'm not sure how much I should describe or what my possibilities are but short range and fast are definite.

To Sense do you dual wield swords or pair it with shield/some other weapon?

At Bacn I think there was a link to the Exteel forums somewhere in one of the threads in the MMORPG section, but it took me to a blank forum. As in no topics or threads or ways of getting to any other page other than the one the link takes you to...

edit: forgot, on average I get 3:1 or 4:1 k/d ratios

Sorry if im not soulex but I can tell you that the mech set you should get is rushnik with your description. Note: Sets are cheaper than buying seperate parts but seperate parts allow u to hybrid your mech to change you stats to your liking. If you want to buy parts go for the energy saving booster (the fat ugly one that's 9k, not missle launcher), save up to by rushnik legs or scootwing legs, arms preferably scootwing but the other heavy weight arms allow longer shot time before overheating. The chest and head is your choice.A great build that u can use(I currently use this) is to add 2 to hp, 1 to en, and if possible 1 to marksmenship every couple levels. This helps your mech be well rounded for close range combat.
About the swords, duel weilds are okay if you don't lag and the only difference with attacking with 1 sword and shield or dual swords is that single sword does a 3 hit combo when attacking while dual swords do a 5 hit combo.

the link to the boards, and if you havent figured it out yet, to read any and all posts you must register an account to see the forum XD
edit:priority items to get are booster and legs if anything, they waste to most en out of all parts so improving htem will give u a better chance of surviving.
