Hello, I'm one of the developers of Hack Wars. I came across this forum in the process of promoting the game, and it seemed like a good place to recruit some players.

Hack Wars is a unique MMO based around virtual hacking. Unlike past games of the genre, Hack Wars incorporates a realistic in-game scripting language. This allows players to forge their own powerful applications which can be sold in the game's dynamic economy. Hack Wars is a unique, fun, and addictive MMO, currently in an open beta testing phase.

no... you dont put your real ip address, you put a fake one that would probably be your in game ip address as you can see theres a random ip address generator and check availability.

2 things

1. your ip address has no link to your credit card

2. maybe they need your real ip incase u get really good at the game and hack companies

Sounds like second life but i'll give it a try I guess. Its free so why not.

EDIT: guess its not like SL, I still odnt understand the concept.

Yah, Second Life isn't really what I would compare the game to. You essentially have your own virtual computer, and attempt to hack other people's virtual computers. Programming can be used to create applications, which essentially represent in-game items and abilities.

This seems pretty neat, but do we actualley need to know how to hack to play the game? Like is there a small HackWars tutorial on it on creating applications and such?
