Is there any games with the same battle and equip systems?

As far as I know, the Materia system remains one of the most unique I've seen. Although, you get a similar feeling from the Junctions in FF8, but it's not exactly the same.

If anything, I'd reccomend FF8, but otherwise I can't help you.

has somethign similar, but its actulyl equip a weapon, and the weps give u abilities. and limit breaks are hardly ever in use. the chars have predetermined skills, so u cant custimize as in ff7. ie, cloud can learn fira, but in ff9 only vivi the wizrard can learn it. its more cartoony as well. i actully loved it though, the chars had great development story is great as well. and u get 4 chars at a time, instead of 3.

FF8 and FF9 are one of my favorite rpg

Because fanboys would whine how terrible it is and that FF7 kicks its ass.

its not alike, but its similar, they have summons and ap points similar to ff7.

materia was a rip off of espers.
so play FF6.

Uhh, what Final Fantasy game after 7 didn't have feminine looking male characters? :P Let's see, there was Cloud, Squall, Zidane, Tidus, and Vaan. So far, all the main characters look like weak pussies. (but ironically end up being some of the strongest characters...)

I didn't think they looked feminine (except vaan). The only bad thing was square decided to go with a teen with an annoyingly undeveloped voice for their main characters in FFX and FFXII. Mature heroes are always better.
