1st comp

Nvidia geforce 8600gt pci-e
2 gigs of ram
Intel core duo 2 (i forgot the number but it thinks its 6400)


2nd comp

nvidia geforce 6200 pci(yes theres a pci version of this card)
512ram
pentium 4 2.8ghz

U can run them on both...

1st can easily but 2nd one might have problems.
But should be able to run on low atleast.
More ram for 2nd one would be fitting to play it for sure.

Yeah HL2 engine is well optimized.
atleast in my opninion.

Ive got :

Intel core 2 duo 1,8 ghz (overcloacked to 2,1)
1 gb ram
Radeon x1950 pro (256)


I can run Hl2 on all max with 1440x900 and AAx2 or AAx4 (I prefer AAx2 ... a bit smoother in very fast action).


Also, I could run HL2 on almost full (AAx2 , Textures medium or high... don't remember and 1024x768) on my old PC:

Amd Athlon 2500+ (2 ghz)
256 mb ram
Radoen 9200 SE (I think it was 68 or maybe 128.... ).

Same engine but

it depend how big the map is... the bigger - the less fps you will get.

depending on RAM.

I have 1GB RAM is just bad.. :(

haha thnx again pips, i better upgrade my bros comp since it only have 512ram >< lol and it only have 1 slot left.

ure 2nd one will run, but definately not as smoothly, and loading shit wont load as fast as your first comp, but its still playable either way. I used to play zombie master on an even crappier-on par to yours type of computer, wasnt that bad, but wasnt that good either

ur not gunna get the perfect performance for both of it.. the 8600 will get decent fps around 60-100, which is all u need.. then second one cant handle it
