Wow, it's made on the Havok engine. I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully it takes advantage of the engine. Some really good games have been made on it.

I'm really liking the graphics. And though the fighting has that cool gritty and bloody theme to it, it does look really damn boring. The fact that those badass looking mobs just let him waltz through wasn't much of a plus either.

I got the feeling that was some kind of lvl 1 or 2 training dungeon. Like one of those "get used to the controls" sequences. He only had a few skills, and was doing 6 or 7 damage, so most likely a newly created character. I'm sure the mobs will be smarter in later levels, early monsters are always non-aggro anyway. Still, props for having badass looking mobs in a newbie area, can only imagine what it'll be like later on. Looking forward to this.

The game was great other than the lack of character customization. You could change hair and stuff, but it just felt lacking in that department.

Hacking elks apart and watching their heads fly 20 feet away is always great fun, though.

Game looks kewl. Will it be f2p, p2p, or b2p? Oh and that dungeon is starter dungeon so looks boring in that video XD.

I suppose I could've pointed it out sooner, but guys, that's the dungeon you spawn in when you begin the game. Naturally it's gonna be noobish. :P

looks like an upgraded version of 2moons/dekaron, an upgraded version with some hellgate and diablo thrown in.

hopefully fighting won't be as dreadfully slow into the higher levels of the game...

As you level and get new equips, the gameplay does become much more fast paced.

It also is very party oriented, not so much in the fact that you can't kill the monsters without being in a party (a-la FFXI), you just level considerably more quickly when there's multiple people attacking the same monster. If I recall correctly, there's a bit of an exp boost from parties, as well.

Grrr why did u post that video D: it looks very very very disappointing ive been waiting for this for quite a while but mannn from the looks of that video it looks overly boring just look at the combat i hope they have a good story line and some snazzy instances or else this might be quite a bad game...

Lol I wouldn't worry about IP blocks unless they make an official announcement. Typically when people say "US", they mean that it's a Global version or it's in English.

I could be wrong though, there's really no telling.

Morst us games arent ip blocked they get released as global version all it mean is the servers are in the usa. It's kinda sad every country ip blocks us but we welcome them with open arms :(.

Hmm I didn't see this one coming out this year, I understand it's Gravity and all. Just considering the fact that they was just in beta sometime last year and now releasing this year in USA, I don't like the looks of this.

Thiers that and the million bots when I see when I log on my lvl 71 characters. And everywhere you need to go to active level is camped with them. Turned me off and i like the game.

Is requiem Enjoyable?

It isn't really new to my ears, coz I've heard the game ever since RO2 was in development...
Anyway, it's not just you ordinary blood bath game, it was rated to be Adults rather than Mature by ESRB...

even if this game was grindy i'd still consider it fun because of the way the fighting looks and how fast-paced it is. however, the video doesn't really make the game look good at all (as usual) but i'm sure it will be an atleast decent game. it's also by gravity, so that's a plus.

It actually looks pretty decent... a bit similar to WoW, just not quite as good.
The animations for turning are bad, and it wouldn't hurt to have a few more combat "weapon swinging" animations, either.

There's also the fact that enemies seem to be a bit too clumped together.

It was given such a high ESRB rating because unlike games such as 2Moons that claim to be "bloody" but in reality only consist of spots of blood or mists spewing out of the enemies, Requiem lets you knock off monsters' heads and and limbs.

@Greed, yes, the game doesn't have very much customization as far as heads/faces, which annoyed me. D:

Finally a break in the homo anime games that are being released every other week.

I've been waiting for this since RO finished its beta testing... Yes. That's how long I've waited. Now that it's here I've gotta say I'm slightly underwhelmed. This should've been released way sooner like some other MMOs people know of.

I can't put my finger on it but it sort of reminds me of Rakion with Lineage 2-esque combat but far more violent. Can't say I'm impressed nor it being hyped more than the collossus Nexon are chugging us. It should've been hyped... Just a long time ago.

I played the CB and OB of requiem and its fairly boring and a grind fest.
However there are quite a few nice things about the game, such as randomly finishing off a mob to see it be hit 60 feet in the air and plummet to the floor. If I remember correctly there was some sort of stance system too, but I'm probably wrong about that.

The games very much comparable to SUN or L2.

edit: The dismemberment of corpses is quite fun too.

I was just basing my opinion on what I read before I posted. Someone said there was hardly any customization but seems I was wrong.

Not really any.

And that's really not much customization at all, i'd say it's standard at best.

I've never really understood the need for their to be so much customization, whats the point? Who cares if there are 5 or 50 facial options when they are just gona be covered up with a helmet, anyone wana fill me in?

If you don't want to wear a helmet, then it matters.
Also, some people don't want to look like clones straight out of the Fruit of the Loom factory.

I haven't heard much about requiem. What are the features like?

Pros:
Good WASD.
Lots of blood, you can dismember enemies.
Cool looking equips, lots of different weapon/armor types.
Not really much of a class system, you just use whatever you want.
Great graphics.
IMO a good dungeon system, you can solo them or run them in a party.
An alright stance system, not like Granado Espada's, it's more of a skill system than anything.

Cons:
Not a lot of choices as far as customization when you create your character.
Laggy if you don't have a good computer.
Pretty grindy.
Takes a while to get to the first town.
