I'm getting really bored of the mmos that I play, so I'm gonna start playing MS haha. I'm quite new at this, but It looks like a fun game :)

Do any of you have any newbie tips to give me? Or if youd like to play together, I'll give you my login name once I make one! (the game is still downloading)

MapleStory is as addictive as a drug. I've tried quitting twice and, as you can see, I always come back for more.

Be sure to check the guides to get an overview of the different characters. And be sure to play on Bera.

Well, it's nice to see you, and I hope you have fun playing Maple Story. I'm not sure if there are any newbie tips, but just remember to not get too attached to your first character. It would be smart to not give your first character the 'best' name, because as you progress in the game, you'll see that you've made a lot of mistakes and will want to start over.

Hi don't play what server people tell you too pick your own way :D

Anyways info on servers as follows
Sania: has a high level of onrpgerianin but most are lvl 5x-7x+ active
Bera: HAs about 5 to6 onrpgers vary from piggy at 26 to Inarii at 12x Active
Broa: High level of newerish people around 2x-5x in level Actove( i'm in this one)
Windia: low level of onrpgers friendly and the ones that are their(2 i think ren and sushi) are active
Khaini: semi high level of poupulation active
Mardia: low poupulation inactive(as far as i can tell)
Bellocan:inexitant poupullation inactive

I would pick one of the first three.

Let us know once you've got a server selected and a character made. Check the IGN thread and such to see where people play. Most of us around here are fairly kind and will help you out the best we can when you start off.

I would also recommend you to play on Scania/Bera/Broa if you intend on playing with a larger group of people from OnRPG.

Go for Bera and Broa to cover you bases and swap accordingly, thats what I do. :3

If you're looking for an easy startup, go for a warrior. They're pretty easy to use at first and are the first to get off the first island usually. Then if you want, with the money you've made from the warrior, you can afford to buy things in the more expensive other three classes. I/L mages and assassins become pretty easy to use at this point.

And if you really want to have some fun, then you should come to mardia. It's pretty quiet, and not many from OnRPG are here except for me and that Whammo guy. It'd be appreciated to have an active friend other that Rose and Zeim (they're sort of my fangirls, if you could call them that T.T)

By 'fake money' I'm referring to the royal sum of 300k I earned with absolutely NO support whatsoever on my spearman. That's more than enough to get another character up and running by itself.

Hm im not offering money anywhere. I just mention that because i am anti "do a warrior first cause they make money" warriors do NOT make money any better then mages i feel you must have been lucky, but from experiences with my own spearman in the first job warrirors do not make a lot of money due to the foutune you spend on HP pots.

My friend is better at explaining this(more experience FTW) but in all honesty the reason to go warrior first is to not deal with maple island but if its a money class mage(as mages are self sustaning after level 17)

I've been playing for just over a month, and love MS.. I'm in Mardia, but to each his own.. I didn't have someone suggest when I started, I just randomly picked a server...
