You're planning on purchasing a computer, then Mac OS X, and then installing it?
Erm... No.
Mac OS X only runs on Apple hardware, you will have to purchase an Apple iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini or an older Apple computer to run the operating system.
There is a project underway to allow Mac OS X to run on other hardware, but it's a long way off and isn't worth the trouble.
Well, one of my friend has mac os on his PC and it's running smoothly. He said that as long as the hardware supports it, you can always install Mac os on a PC. However, not all hardware can. If has to be alike Mac's specs. Anyway.

Do you need a mac for any specific function? I mean.... if you don't need something specific then don't bother with a mac.
How many games do you know that have mac client downloads? I know I wouldn't bother a mac. It has too many restrictions compared to windows that it is really a pointless overpriced thing to buy.
I run a windows machine for gaming, and a linux machine for basic crap like web browsing, im, etc. The linux machine i put together from spare parts I had in my closet. The only way I would use a mac would be in a similar fashion (ie no need for gaming compatibility).

I'm not building this comp for games...I'm over games for a long time ago. I'm in Graphic at school and I'm used to a Mac but for a price of a mac, I can get a better PC. Then, my friend says it's possible to put Mac OS on PC as long as it's compatible. So i'm building this.

Well, if the computer is for school, and perhaps for your job in the future, I would get a real MAC if you need a real MAC.
That way everything works as it should.

Your friend is lying, sorry.
Mac OS X on other hardware other than Apple is possible, but is buggy, slow, incompatible and not worth the time.

I would say no, he's not lying. I saw it on his comp and it wasn't lagging at all. :-/

Is there a specific Mac only program you require?
I asked because you should be able to get the same program for windows and not handcuff yourself with a Mac.

Sure he didn't have a Mac Mini with a seperate monitor plugged in?
Maybe you should ask your friend about his iHack, if that is indeed the case.
There's no program in particular I want to use. In fact, it's a silly reason. At school, I use Imac and I'm pretty used to the keyboard. That's the only reason I want to install Mac OS on it. For it's invincibility against virus or any other "bad" stuff and for the keyboard. or I actually like the shortcut keys from the Photoshop CS3 Mac version with the Mac keyboard.

Probably a theme. Yep, sounds like a theme.

Nah, works exacally like one. Matters not the shortcut on Word or Photoshop. Everything's the same as the one at school.

Alright, you can install Mac OS X, but let me give you a link as to why that's not a good idea. http://www.askageek.com/2007/12/22/install-mac-os-x-on-a-dell/
Not only is it extremely difficult, it's illegal. You have fun.
