GW is a CORPG, a Cooperative Online Role Playing Game.

Guild Wars is like Phantasy Star Online. They are just MORPG, multiplayer online rpgs. World of Warcraft is an actual MMORPG, since, you know, there aren't randomly generated rooms (or preset) that you walk through and instead an actual world.

Guild Wars is great, but it's lacking that you walk through portals and if you're party isn't with you you're all alone in a big empty space. Kind of boring at times, I've yet to get WoW but I want to buy it soon and try it out, I liked the whole city of villains thing but it took like a year to make a new storyline and they had a message saying that it was almost done when it finally came out like 7 months after they had that message first go up. Either way I prefer being able to just go out and be with other people rather then go through a portal and be by myself and know it for sure.
