I dont get why so many people are surprised. While the FF7:AC cloud was made more realistic, it still has an anime style to it, so do the other FF7 chars. And most anime faces (given its the same artist) pretty much draw the same faces, and slap on different colour and style hairdos on. I really wouldn't be surprised if more character comparison's popped up.

when they put ffxiii into dev they we're told to make a female version cloud... that is a fact and not a rumour. lightning is her code name not her real name. if her father is acually cloud i would shit my self on the spot. i have high hopes for this game i think it may acually pass FFVII imo... FFVII is my favorite... i can't wait!!! FFVII was obviously the most successful because look at all the sequels and prequels, FFVII: DC, FFVII: AC, FFVII: BC, and how ffxiii is having a female version of cloud... mesohappy.

Those prequels/sequels were just SE abusing the success of FF7 cause they ran out of ideas and they needed another reason to push back FF12 and FF13. It's like milking a cow that has no more milk left, sorta. They're just losing respect for making FF7 sequels that are flaming pieces of shit, and remaking the old FF games and pushing back the games people really want.

Well a remake of FFVII to better 3D version would've been nice tho...

As far as anyone knows, Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy VII have absolutely nothing to do with each other, except for being made by the same people. The only (stand-alone) game that Final Fantasy VII is connected to is Final Fantasy X/X-2, as stated by Nomura and Nojima.

Most of the character designs done by Nomura are rather similar; look at the facial structures and designs of Squall, Cloud, and the blonde man from FFXIII. They all look somewhat similar.

I liked 7, to tell the truth; I don't mind the sequel treatment. 6... I never did beat it. I got to Kefka's castle and got stuck -_-;; I need to go back and beat it. I dunno, from what I've heard of the ending, it doesn't really need a sequel...

The main gay character I recall is the smoothie bar owner from Samurai Legend Musashi (who talks in them most flamboyant style and hits on Musashi).

Granted, Col. Volgin and Raikov from MGS3 were pretty awesome.

Back to the topic (somewhat), it'd be amusing if this turns out to be a tie-in to XII, seeing as how that game is getting it's sequel treatment now.
