CONTENT DEVELOPER

Jagex Ltd, developer and publisher of the MMORPG adventure game RuneScape, is looking for imaginative people to join the content development team on a permanent basis. Your role will primarily be to build creatures, shape virtual worlds, design quests and storylines for our new, undisclosed game.

Must have:
 Previously written quests or storylines for RPG or novels
 Good programming skills
 Good creative writing skills and imaginative storyline ideas
 Experience of working to deadlines
 Passion for games
 Good communication skills, able to make part of a very exciting team

Also useful:
 A computer science degree is a plus but not essential if good programming skills can be demonstrated
 Anime, graphic novels and general sci-fi interest

Candidates must provide a CV with examples of previous creative work (either emailed or a website link).

Salary: £18k - £22k p.a. depending on experience, plus annual bonus, health care, gym membership and other benefits.

Location: Cambridge. Candidates must be able to work in Cambridge or to re-locate.

Since you're looking to hire a salaried professional, I don't think you're going to get too many responses in this forum. The majority of users here are beginning game developers, and I think there are only about one or two serious programmers on the forum (HopeDagger and Sman (perhaps more, I dunno :P)).

Now, I'm not saying that onRPG is a bad community. Hell, it's a great community! The majority of people are helpful, and eager to learn and write, and have great ideas!

However, most of us are still living with our parents (I think?), so I doubt you'll get someone able to re-locate to the U.K.. Because you're offering a salary for a serious job, you might want to try GameDev.net. Their pool of serious developers is much larger than onRPG and they've got some very skilled people over there.
