we tested the client, and found some security issues, we dont want to publish a client before its REALLY working properly, im sure you understand that, beside all disappointment...we work hard on the solution of that, to give you a real good start, and not one with a buggy client which will disappoint you even more than a day more you have to wait..

SCO Shut down due to the fact the devoloper got brought out by another company which then ment the licence was no longer valid and well the new company decided not to sell it to GPatoe for some reason. Now gameforge have the licence to host a server and they have changed the name from SCO to flysis.

In my opinion GPatoe where very lazy when it came to running sco they had updates availible to them but for some reason they decided not to realy do anything with sco so the move to a new publisher was the best thing.

So in short yes its SCO but alot more updated (gameforge actualy can be bothered to update you see) which you can tell from just logging.

No gpotato wasnt lazy it was Yedang they bought out the rights to SCO from Masangsoft and then stopped giving us patches and eventually shut down the game.

Probably. Most people here have played it and really enjoyed it. I only returned to it when someone started an OnRPG guild and soon I was suckered in again.

I'm not sure what SCO had....to long to remember....but this one the CPU has to be between 3.1GHz-4.0GHz and this computer here has 649MHz CPU and i played SCO so im not sure :(

Someone give me some help here. I put MP3's into the Music folder but they do not show up on the music player in game. It says on the FAQ that if you click the "Music" button in game that it should prompt you to change the directory. Yet, when I click it I get no prompt. Can anyone help me out here? iTunes lags my computer lol.

Well, it is true that in early levels I gear is by far more dominating due to speed and mainly it's high attack skills. Real fun with I gear begins after you get level 3 Frenzy or higher which multiplies your missiles as you fire volleys and adds offense to it as well. Simply put, I gear has 3 major builds and one advanced build for higher level. Attack or Evasion or balance between attack and evasion. I gears have no defense or whatsoever and to be described, they are paper-made. So, evasion is important, defense build will NEVER work out well enough. Attack is important as well, since in my opinion being I gear is all about having extremely high piercing attack. Personally I prefer balanced build of Attack and Evasion that is attack and agi. Last advanced build is attack/spirit, evasion/spirit or attack/evasion/spirit, it's mainly for higher skills you get later on. This gear no doubts has the best evasion and speed in the game along with attack.

That however does not mean it's the best gear all around. B gear and A gear are just as good, they might not seem in early levels but later on they are extremely decent. As for M gear, it depends on how you play, if you go fully defensive/spirit build on M gear as how it normally is supposed to be, then you will feel the _grind_, even in early levels. Tweak your M gear stats till level 50, it overall has best mobility, great supportive skills and best defense in game. Also for Mothership wars, M gears are highly recommended for team formations and detect skills.

B gear starts off as balanced, most important part about it is what type of build do you want? Attack/defense? Or Defense/Spirit? I prefer balance between attack, spirit and defense in order. Of all the gears B gear is the only gear that requires a lot of playing skills to pilot it. If you are going to chase a I gear as B gear at whatever level in pvp, there is no way you can win. Ground Bombing Mode (GBM) is hard to master, for most if not all. But it's mostly for ground based units although you can also take out air based units if you know how to, which is easy to figure out. Air Bombing Mode, is simply put, shot-gunning. It doesn't have range or guidance like normal missiles and goes in straight direction if you fire, but overall it's great skill. If you know the correct timing, no gear can face you head on with Air Bombing Mode (ABM), most certainly not I gear. In addition, B gear gets quite a number of defensive and useful skills. Final 2 skills of B gear are simply great, at least Invisible is. A lot of people speak how broken B gear is, and, technically, it is. If you have right missiles, one hit from GBM can take out any A gear, and one hit from ABM can most certainly take out any I gear and put M gear in state of emergency or smoke it.

A gear, most of people underrate it. Because it's slow, it doesn't have missiles and poor mobility. Well, it doesn't need any of those. It's supposed to be a tank, which means, it has great defense and attack as well. In early levels, it will be a little difficult to get used to A gear, but usually it starts becoming a killing machine after 29+. A gear builds, in my opinion, can be attack and defense but I strongly recommend attack/spirit/defense in that order. Spirit because of ground siege mode and air siege mode. Those skills don't require you to chase targets, just auto lock on and pound away so in times like raids and wars, having decent amount of SP can pretty much give you a killing upper hand. Like GBM and ABM they consume sp once activated till you deactivate, They can also move on any terrain easily. Their easiest targets are I gears, if you have the right mount and right skills, you can take I gears out in a matter of seconds. They get quite a number of useful skills, and above all the barrier skill they get, makes you invincible for 10 or 15 seconds to any attack. There is also one other skill of A gear that I cannot recall (hyper something), but it supposedly can deal mass amount of damage to targets close together, pretty much it can kill most of gears easily as it's an AoE attack. A gears are very useful to camp at portal gates and in thin places like dens and tunnels.

With that said, in the end it all depends on how you pilot your gear. Sure every gear comes with advantages and disadvantages over each other, but it doesn't mean that an I gear cannot beat A gear or M gear cannot beat B gear, vice versa. It's all up to you how you proceed.


Lastly people prefer I gear because as I said, it's overpowering in beginning and really easy to pilot, or so what most of people think..But even I gear requires tactical skills to pilot. Especially when you are being chased by fastest missiles in game.


Oh and lastly, the stat SHIELD is good for A gear, with builds such as Attack/Spirit/Shield. You can put points in defense at every 3 levels or so. It's also not bad for B gear, infact instead of defense putting shield might be good. Just follow your engine requirements for rest of your stats. I would not recommend putting points in shield stat for M gears, and really not for I gears.

Also as you might have noticed, shield regens faster compared to HP. It can regen to full on it's own but HP can't regen to full if its low enough.

errr im having a problem when trying to register on the site.

I get to step 1:

and when i click submit it refreshes and tells me that an error has occured. :/

M-Gear suck at everything, they're the slowest levelers, they are the weakest, they're slow, they don't even have the strongest defense... BUT!~ At level 70 they're the strongest at PVP... WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!? Because they are EFFING TANKS at that level, they can take so much,a nd heal themselves as they are giving the pwnage... by that level you should have the best equips if your going to PVP anyways... so open up that can of woopass and start eating.

A-Gears suck vs M-Gears... there are so many ways to beat them... I don't want to tell you, I and B gears are the only trouble, but once you lock on, use your slow speed to your advantage and keep them in your sights as you barrel roll and shoot em down... yes it's that simple.

Don't even think about pvp at level 15 or anything... your a slow slow leveler, so get in formation, make some friends and level your ass up, because don't think you'd even scratch someone in PVP at all.

PS~ When I say your the slowest levelers, I'm not kidding around, watch how fast your friends level compared to you.

Oh yah, don't start working on attack, because then less people will want you for formations because your lacking skill points, and when they die you'll have to put up with A LOT of bitching.

basically you'd need high damaging, fast reloading missiles coupled with constant strong primary gun fire while keeping all buffs on to even have a DPS that could overwhelm the M-Gears defense(I'm talking full defense here) and even then it could try to run back to its buddies while roll-healing.

However, I think a lot of this would depends on player skill, items, and point allocation.

If I can get My Flyff character to lvl 80+ and my Mapelstory character to lvl 80, I'm sure a little grind in Flysis is fine for my lovely M-gear

220+ Fame at level 30 mmmmm

Multiple problems with this game; memory leak game uses 800mb of memory and I've closed every possible thing running on my system to verify.

Also I have to disable resident shield of AVG or else it will keep picking up the .exe as a virus; and last thing is it crashes every time I try to interact with npc's.... I get a winsock error and the game just closes.

Not the only one with these problems either; game overall is fun when I can actually play it though.

*edit* almost forgot there's a ton of speed hackers zipping around in town and I hear also in the arena but unno just seen them in town.

Stupid thing keeps closing on me.

There's a bug/lag thing where I would shoot missiles but nothing would come out until 7minutes later when my Gear just shoots out a bunch of crap killing everything in sight.

I-Gears are fast. In the beginning of the game there isn't much of a difference. But when there are more items, and when you start lvling up. there is a big difference. I want to use a b-gear, but they aren't as good as i-gears.

Just got my speed I-gear to level 40, my main b-gear to 14, and my sub i-gear to 14.

Sucks there'll be a wipe, but I don't care because I'm pwning idiotic over-hyped ANI with my amazing speed. Leaving clusters of missiles and scrapped gears in the dust with my speed cards.

Considering at that level, most engines are the same...I wouldn't be surprised.

Or made it fully customizable, like in Exteel, they should have made it so that you could change the wings, core, cockpit, etc etc. but that would be hard to make classes/skills out of that. Unless they had it like Angels online/GuildWars (sorta) where the skills were fully customizable too but then everyone would go make Cookie Cutter builds and that wouldn't be much fun. D:

All I-Gear engines are faster than B Gear i think. I have a Jet F something, not the ones in theshop, and i go about 400 mph with booster, 200 mph without, and i can outrun b-gear so technically. I-Gear > all, in speed. Also i'm like lvl 17

i-gears are the faster gears. you get to lvl 20+ the difference in speed is greater.

The time you used to type your post...you could've made 2 new emails.. -.-

SCO Shut down due to the fact the devoloper got brought out by another company which then ment the licence was no longer valid and well the new company decided not to sell it to GPatoe for some reason. Now gameforge have the licence to host a server and they have changed the name from SCO to flysis.

In my opinion GPatoe where very lazy when it came to running sco they had updates availible to them but for some reason they decided not to realy do anything with sco so the move to a new publisher was the best thing.

So in short yes its SCO but alot more updated (gameforge actualy can be bothered to update you see) which you can tell from just logging.


We only had 1 GM that hardly did anything. People lost even more respect when he could ban people that flamed him, but couldn't ban hackers.

He did what he could, but He didn't do what he should. All in all, SCO's gone, now everyone went to flysis.

The pserver just got shut down so now I must move back to flysis.

i loved going my main ... in SCO which was a B-gear ... i remember when i was around lvl 30 ... i had a friend that was I-gear and we were on same nation but we always did 1v1 for fun ... he kept doing the hit and run thing because he was way faster then me ... but each time he came to shoot i just dodge it ... its all about skill and how you use the gear ... i love B-gear cause the bombing skills .... at around lvl 30 u only got the ground bombing move ... but once u got prob at use the ground bombing move in the air ... u basically 1 shot them .... so when we fight 1v1 with the I-gear .... i just dodge and ground bomb him in the air ... and its fun lol !!! untill around lvl 34 or something forgot ... u get a engine that is hell fast boost ... but runs out fast ... and was as fast as the I-gear and i caught up to him and just bombed him and that was fun ... untill we went higher lvl ... like any I-gear they just outspeed us ... but by around lvl 40 or 50 i forgot we get the air bombing move and it owns in group battles !! well im gonna wait till this is OB and then play !! cant wait to play a B-gear again !!!

i miss SCO now, my lvl 70 i-gear was pretty cool, but in Flysis, B-GEAR!

Or made it fully customizable, like in Exteel, they should have made it so that you could change the wings, core, cockpit, etc etc. but that would be hard to make classes/skills out of that. Unless they had it like Angels online/GuildWars (sorta) where the skills were fully customizable too but then everyone would go make Cookie Cutter builds and that wouldn't be much fun. D:


No lol, I do agree about the part about having more customazation, but 4 gears are more than enough. What skills would you give a helicopter eh? XD

all we need are fighters, bombers, support and transportation (which practically covers helicopters roles) and tanks. We needth not more than which we have.

It's mainly due to a res map file that's causing winsock. However I know someone that has the solution. He just needs to reply. -____-
