About 2 days ago i started getting these messages

Im running ist if thats any help but i doubt it.

You might need to reinstall the Maple Story client.
Maybe the latest patch did something, and they say the only way to fix it is to uninstall the game and reinstall.
Also, I assume (this is ASSUME, therefore, not a fact) that the gameguard system comes with the game, so maybe reinstalling with a fresh client will have a fixed/better gameguard.

And now for a better answer.
Customer support should be able to help you, though here's hoping another forum mate will show up and save the day.

It does suggest you run an anti-virus or anti-spyware, which might be what you're doing.

Try what Lina suggested. I'll suggest some Anti-Virus programs if you need it. Also check your firewall to make sure you haven't got Maple Story blocked. Another thing you could try is to delete all the files inside the GameGuard folder. Try that before reinstalling.

ive reinstalled it so far and same problem, i allow it every time i try and start it and my spyware already ran, don't think its a virus but ill check.

I think Syntax had a thread on Error 114 a while ago, it was the patch before guilds came out I think.

I don't know if you can check Forum 57 for that thread, but yeah.

I had this problem too a while back, its not vista because I'm also using your version of vista. I had just virus scanned my computer and deleted some unknown causes on my computer, then I had the same problem, I tried reinstalling and redownloading but it didn't work. To tell you the truth the only solution I was able to get was having both msea and gms installed. It was a dumb guess, might not work for you, but it did for me.

Edit: also if you had virus scanned your computer and had deleted things you werent suppose to like important windows files, you might need to reinstall windows or repair it. I also used this method and it worked. Again, might not work for you.

Do you have a firewall running?

I installed COMODO firewall and it was messing with my Maple Story. I had to close my firewall to play because it was blocking access to the RAM and Maple Story need to access it to check you arent hacking. If its not the case then we would need more info about what run on your system and what you did or install right before it stopped working.

i have the exact same problem
i've tried everything
resetting computer and
virus checking
nothing seems to work
idk how to do the windows self repair thingy
but i get the initializing 114 also and i have no clue how to fix it
i stopped playing maple a long long time ago and now that i want to start again i cant play my lvl 52 hunter =[
does anyone know how to fix this problem?
