Yeah, I've been playing MS for about three weeks..I have a lvl 23 Archer on Windia.

Ever since I started playing, I've been getting random disconnections, and I'm not talking like once a week, i get disconnected everytime i log on to play.

I absolutley love maple story and want to continue playing, and eventually start using the cash shop, but i absolutley can not keep playing like this. I would have consulted the forums on mapleglobal.com, but the people on there are..well assholes. Plus the GMs don't care. Does ANYONE know what the problem is? I have a decent computer (meets recommended settings) and i allowed my windows firewall to allow maplestory through, so that's not the problem. Oh yeah, and i have comcast broadband.

It might be your ISP. Try lowering the security level of your firewall, and use spyware scans to remove spyware and crap. This happens to me. It's annoying , but you get used to it eventually.

i had problems with lots of lag, as well as being d/ced randomly and through portals etc. i got 512MB of ram, and that fixed the problem! try to get $50 and upgrade to at least 512 mb of ram!!!

dont cry over a game. there are always solutions. maybe turning off all other applications before you play maplestory will help. :D

go to sleepywood.net/forum and look under technical help.

it's always a good idea to...
- know how many programs your comp can run at once before it gets lagg
- scan your computer on a regular basis for spyware and viruses and crap
- don't leave your comp on all the time
- reinstall ms maybe? it could be the new patch screwing you up
- play ms on the setting that's best for you. like the in game settings for graphics

Just try to switch off virus scanner and windows firewall completely and then give maple a test run.
Not only maple needs to go through the firewall, the 'nice' gameguard trojan needs to get access also and as it hides itself it makes probs with firewalls sometimes.
Of course the tips looking for spyware and other programs in the background is also a thing you should do anyway from time to time. "spybot s&d" and "ad-aware" are two free and good programs for doing it.
