Cliches!

Hate them, movies nowadays put the Good guy up against the Worldhungry Bad guy, now I will split this into 2 catagories.

Theres the good guy, the "good guy" himself is split into 2 catagories:

1) A weak little cissy who gets "SUPA SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYIAN powers" and is saved at the last second.
2) Or someone like Cloud from Final Fantasy, or Arnold Shwar..whtever from Predator.

What is the difference between these two?

Well, the cissy always wins, because someone decides to turn him into a Juggernaut the last 20 seconds and beat down the "Bad guy"

Like Street Fighter, Bison goes insane but Guile, after 4 minutes of pure beatdown, gets one dam kick in, and KABOOMY, Bison is down (Yeah I know he lives) Now I am not saying Guile is a cissy, but compared to the power Bison gets, he is, but wow, one kick and its all over! Bison himself is a real asshole because he spends 2 minutes mocking someone.

Then we move on to the Fair Factor:
If you have seen Predator, you know what I am talking about, Arnold wins, but he goes through hell whilsts all his friends die around him, and even if he wins, he is still on the verge of death because Predator blows up every freaking thing in a mile radius when its about to die.

Once again, the difference:
Cissy: Saved by magical mumbo jumbo powers, or all friends unite and save the day Scooby Doo blah.
Fair: A tough, legit, awesome showdown!

Now we have the Good Guys out of the way, time for the baddies.

Once again, split into two.

Cocky: Ok, the bad guy is about to win, oh shit we are all screwed, but what does the baddie decide to do? Takes 10 dam minutes to taunt the victim, unaware that there is a 12 ton anvil over his/her head, which oddly enough, is attached to a rope near the Victim, on the floor who is begging for mercy. Gee I freaking wonder what we can do now?
Example: Alien, great movie no doubt, but the Aliens have to spend 15 seconds staring at the victim, ready to facepop them. 15 seconds of blankness.

Smart/Rough: A mastermind or a huge tank, the baddie does not ask no questions, he kills and moves on, enough said.

1) Predator(Tank), it does not spend half an hour being cocky, Predator shoots, cloaks, and moves on.

2) Jigsaw from Saw series(Mastermind): The mastermind, you cant mess with him, even when he is right infront of you, he has your son in a trap, with toxic rushing through his body, you are hopeless, you got to choose, and you love your family dont you? You have to co operate or he dies!

Hence why we need more movies like Cloverfield, Saw, Predator, etc.

Bottom line, can we stop with the cocky dumb bad guys, and wimpy "Saints" who win out of the 1/100000000000 odds?

if you dont like stereotype reinforcing films... then avoid them

i mean jesus, how can you watch an arnold schwarzenegger film and not expect stereotypes?

also in alien and aliens everyone gets raped, the alien/s dont hesitate.


also the big speech before the bad guy shoots the hero happens because truly evil people will gloat over their victim before killing them, its a movie stereotype.

you seem to like action movies, try watching the 1980's version of The Thing by John Carpenter. thats a good film with a relatively unexpected ending which isnt so heavily stereotyped for the action genre.

Nah I have watched the Thing, and Aliens take 10 seconds, always a moment in every Alien series where it takes a while to get its tongues...tongue out.

The gloating is a clear problem with films nowadays, JUST KILL THEM
