Yeah, for now GUNZ is your best bet for this kind of game you are looking for.
Even if you're only looking for melee combat, the guns combat is fun as all hell.

Guns is not only a third person shooter but a melee combat game as well.
when you make a game you have the choice of playing melee only or melee and balistic combat (Balistics as in bullets or relating to the study of the dynamics of projectiles:D I got that from http://dictionary.reference.com). wow you were a serious waste of my time.:mad:

Fighter games are room based not mmo I dont know why somany people seem to not be able to understand this. If you have a PS2 get yourself a copy of Mortal Kombat Armageddon. It has fully customizable character creation including fighting moves and special attacks and instead of the old fatalities where you punch in a few keys then dissemember your apponent its on a tier system where you hit a combo and you do a fatality move then hit another combo within the time limit and do another fatality move... then eventualy do another combo that finalizes the fatality such as the classing crushing skull or my personal favorite ripping out the spine with the head still attatched with a max of 10 moves wich is near impossible. The highest ive done so far is a 7 move fatality combo.

p.s. ignore my grammer I just had a tooth pulled and am drugged up on hydrocodone.

yeah but those are just online fighting games. Im looking for a game like kwon ho, build ure character select his fight style. (Preferbly a real martial art), then set off and fight other opponents to possibly level up perhaps? Maybe even buy gear for your character?

I think the only thing thats like what your looking for in any way is Fury.
