I have been trying to play oblivion on my computer for some time now but I need to put it to disgustingly low settings.

Here are my specs (geez, this hurts every time I say it):

Windows Vista home Premium (32 bit)
AMD 64X2 processor (2.1 ghz)
NVidia 6150 (onboard) 128mb of video ram
2 GB of DDR2 Ram
On-board sound

Here are my settings:
resolution: 640x480
Texture size: Medium
Ditant land is off
No grass or water effects
incredibly low view distane (ex: object, tree, actor, land)
No Shadows
Up-to-date copy+ graphics card

And all this at 15-20 fps outdoors. PLEASE HELP, THIS IS DAMN NEAR UNPLAYABLE!!!!! :(Im broke now so I cant get new parts. Oblivion is supposed to have eye candy but my eyes are dying of uglieness. Anything helps, ANYTHING!!!!!!!

Yep, that was it.

Its not working. When I start it up, it gives me an error message telling me it's not working. HELP ME PLEASE!

Vista is your problem, but besides that your video card, crank up your resolution I don't think I know anyone that runs at that anymore (unless your just doing it for oblivion) your the first grats but i guess thats personal pref but, also take down the graphic settings in the game. Go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest find oblivion and see what you need. I know your broke but If you have a PCI express slot buy a 40$ video card and that will help.
