Why havn't we been seeing the classic Squaresoft games we know and love, like FF3 or Chrono Trigger? Something's gata be going cause i KNOW they would have releast Chrono Trigger by now if they were going to. Instead, we get crap RPGs like actraiser and paper mario( ok, just not that good). What do u guys think?

Actraiser isn't crap, it owns.

not as mutch as a bunch of other games that we don have. Actraiser isn't realy an RPG, it's more of a Populus/ beatem up game.

If you wanted SE games, you should've gotten a PS3. SE hardly ever releases games on Nintendo systems. Most of the games that are released are remakes. The last time Nintendo and SE collaborated on an original game (Excluding FFCC:RoF, cause it isn't out yet) was that Chocobo Tales game for the DS and FF12:RW for the DS. The last time a home console got an original SE game was back in 2003-2004 (FFCC)

Yes, but even so. With them shelving out remakes by the bucketload, I doubt they'll let Nintendo re-release the old classics.

Nintendo has a psuedo contract with Square but not enough of one to get classic games on VC

ever since nintendo forced them to censor FF6 to all hell with the english release of 3.
FF7 was originally supposed to be a sequal to 6 on N64 but was scrapped due to marketing issues involving censorship and money, then sony came along promising less censorship then nintendo and a fatter paycheck, and when FF7 was born once more it flew into a firestorm of fanboys begging for more of the same but instead we got 8 and it started to fall, 9 swiftly followed giving them hope then 10 was here and it just plunged.

X-2 was no better and i already saw FFXII for bargin bin prices.

square is jumping ship off sony and they are heading towards Xbox, so if anything Xbox will get classic square games.

PS3 was Worst console of the newest and most SE stuff goes to nintendo now

agreed PS3 is a sinking ship, thats why hideo kojima is making MGS4 for Xbox360 aswell and why FFXIII might not be exclusive to PS3.
