www.gamehippo.com has a TON of freeware games, many of which are actually very fun, quite a few of which are multiplayer, and most of which are under 80, or even 30 megabytes.

There are many fun MUDs that are like easily playable on dialup (MUD is a multiplayer TEXT game, all text based but if you're into reading or whatnot they're extremely fun check out Throes of Creation, Temporal Rifts, SCMud, God Wars 2, Desolation, Ivalice).

Dofus
Pretty much any Playerworlds game.
