I'm looking for an mmo that doesn't require ANY grinding. I'm tired of these cookiecutter MMOs who all claim to do something new, but are all the same.

I want a game like Endless Forest or something that doesn't involve killing to become powerful. I even stooped low enough to try Furcadia... that game scared me... But I like the sandbox-ness of it.

If that kind of game isn't existent, then a game with mostly pure PvP, like Gunz, Survival Project, Rakion, or Gunbound will work.

Thankyou for your help. :)

Zu Online - Quest based until lvl 100.
Goonzu - more economic/crafting based.
Mabinogi - you'll just gradually get stronger and stronger by doing lots of different stuff.
Rumble Fighter - fighting game.
Shattered Galaxy - An old strategy mmo.
Exteel - is kind of similar to Gunz, but with robots.

Shadowbane - small grind, great open world PvP.

Well, if you don't mind a long wait, possibly the best game fitting your description would be Phoenix Realms. We intend to heavily negate level grinding by focusing on a 'career system' and by getting the balance between practise and skill with controls just right.

However the game is still in the developing phase, the project only having recently restarted...

www.phoenixrealms.co.uk for more info! (always looking for more members!)

Mabinogi seemed perfect, too bad it's not out yet... And Shattered Galaxy isn't free anymore, is it?

From what I've tried:
Goonzu, Zu, and Shadowbane are just like the other cookiecutter MMOs. So I didn't like them much.

Exteel is fun. A few bugs, but nothing I can't work around. I'll be playing that for a little.

Rumble Fighter pissed me off. I punched my screen while trying to play that one. The community is full of jerks, and the controls where too unresponsive.

I'm having problems finding Grand Chase. :(

And Phoenix Realms, I've signed up for your board. :P I hope you don't take too long to pump out what I'm looking for. Hehe.

Thanks alot for everybody's help. You've kept me busy for a while. :)

Shattered Galaxy is free but with a pay premium service. The free play aint too bad. Just stay on the newbie planet(with max lvl of 30 or so) and you won't be too disadvantaged.

About grand chase, do you mean the website? http://grandchase.ntreev.net/
