Small problem with the internet at my home :D There are 2 computers with the same IP adress now, and it won't let me go into the router, so how can I change a IP without needing to go into the router? (I know it's possible, but I forgot how and AngelTales is at his work right now >.>)

You're not providing sufficient information.
Two computers sharing the same IP, why would that be a problem? Also, why can't you get into the router?

Just try restarting the router as a start.

What kind of router is it, for one thing.

If you have a linksys router, I can help you.

Linksys ^^

To say it in a full. The internet only works on one comp upstairs, when the computer downstairs isn't on. When both is on the comp downstairs only has internet and the computer upstairs gets a problem of "twee computers delen dezelfde IP adres" meaning that two comps are sharing the same IP. I can't enter the router for some reason, it won't ket me >.> So my question is! "How can I change the IP of every comp without going in the router itself?"

By going into the router itself, do you mean the 192.168.1.1?

If not, then you can go into there and select DHCP Release and then DHCP Renew. This will change your IP address for the router. That usually works.

If so, then unplug both the router and the modem for around 3 minutes. By unplug, I mean take out the power. Wait for the 3 minutes, and then replug. This will restart both the router and the modem, and see if it works after that.

You can also try these usefull tools. I refer all my friends to these tools.

Linksys user freindly tools (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_CASupport_C1&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1166859678292&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=7829277881L05)

Just make sure your router model works with these tools.

Lets see:

(example numbers)
Router - external ip = 1.1.1.1
PC1 - 192.168.0.1
PC2 - 192.168.0.1

Is that the issue? As in both PC's have the same internal ip?

Usually the router default settings are to have DHCP enabled, and to not use static ip's. If that is the case it should be simple to renew your ip address.

start->run->cmd (then hit enter)

in command prompt:

ipconfig /release
(hit enter)
ipconfig /renew
(hit enter)

Do this for each PC, and it should renew the address.

Well your's didn't work, I'm trying cybers thing now xD

btw, to get in the router we must input something else...

[EDIT] I give up on it >.> They just have to pay someone to fix it xD Got my own connection anyway so it doesn't really bother me.
